His eyes were tightly shut, his expression one of righteous resolve, but a faint blush colored his face. He held his arms open, inviting Huo Yuhao to embrace him.
Huo Yuhao stared blankly at everything before him, his mind briefly ceasing to think. His lips trembled as he murmured in a voice filled with disbelief and delighted surprise, "Wang Dong?"
Hearing Huo Yuhao's words, the boy opened his tightly shut eyes and looked toward him.
He saw Huo Yuhao standing there in a daze, staring at him without blinking, with two trails of clear tears already running from his eyes.
The boy's temper immediately flared. He lunged toward Huo Yuhao and shoved him onto the bed, then stood beside it.
Looking down at him, the boy said in a tone both aggrieved and relieved, "Hey, Huo Yuhao, what's that supposed to mean? I'm doing you a favor by letting you hug yours truly. Why do you look like I've been bullying you?"
Then the boy said, "Hurry up and get up. Let's try and see whether we have a Martial Soul Fusion Skill, so we can prepare a little for tomorrow's freshman assessment."
Meanwhile, Huo Yuhao lay on the bed with his arm covering his face, not looking at the boy.
Beneath his arm, tears had long since soaked his sleeve. Of course Huo Yuhao knew who stood before him. He would never forget the boy's appearance.
