Gu Yuena walked through the city, watching the Soul Beasts coming and going through Soul Beast City, watching them live lives beyond her understanding, yet somehow familiar.
Gu Yuena had mixed feelings. After all, she had always believed that the best outcome she could achieve for the Soul Beasts was to deal with the Spirit Pagoda and return them to their former state, with dense forests through which they could roam.
Finally, she would bring back the Dragon God and return the Dragon Clan to the way it had been when the Dragon God was still there. That had been the direction Gu Yuena had previously envisioned.
Of course, throughout this process, Gu Yuena had always hesitated over Tang Wulin. She had not found the resolve to devour his power.
But those were not the things Gu Yuena needed to discuss now. She looked at the scene before her, then turned toward Huo Yuhao beside her.
