"Whimsicott, use Tailwind!"
Just as Whimsicott was about to act, Song Rongxue had already given her command. "Pancham! Use Taunt!"
Whimsicott, with its Prankster Ability, got Tailwind off first before being affected by Taunt, leaving it unable to use any further support moves. It could only use Mega Drain.
This was the strategy the three of them had discussed for dealing with Whimsicott before taking the field. As long as Pancham kept using Taunt on Whimsicott, even its Prankster Ability would not let it keep applying support moves.
"Frogadier, Double Team, then use Water Pulse on Cubone!"
More than a dozen Frogadier ran across the field, hurling ball after ball of Water Pulse at Cubone.
"Use Bone Club to block them!"
Cubone swung its bone like a baseball player, aiming at one of the incoming Water Pulses and smashing toward it.
Unfortunately, that Water Pulse was a fake. Cubone quickly put up Protect. Nearly ten Water Pulses slammed into the energy shield, but only one actually hit.
Yet by the time Cubone dismissed the energy shield, Frogadier had vanished without a trace.
"Water Pulse!"
At some point, Frogadier had used Aerial Ace to get behind Cubone, and it slammed a Water Pulse hard into Cubone's back.
"Pancham, use Arm Thrust on Cubone!"
Pancham had only just charged over when Magby met it with a swinging Thunder Punch. The two Pokémon clashed, and the battle grew intensely fierce for a time.
Taunt soon wore off, but just as Whimsicott tried to use Tailwind again, Pancham used another Taunt while still locked in combat with Magby.
The opposing trainer grew anxious. "Keep using Tailwind until Taunt wears off!"
With Whimsicott's support interrupted, Monferno had already charged right up to it.
"Fire Punch!"
Monferno jumped up and swung a Fire Punch at Whimsicott
