But Cheng Tian did not dare guarantee that Yang Yonggang would win. Once their strength reached this level, type advantages actually became secondary in battle.
In terms of species, however, Metagross had far greater potential than Kommo-o, because Kommo-o could not undergo Mega Evolution, whereas Metagross could. After Mega Evolution, Metagross's base stat total could even reach a terrifying 700. If they could possess divine offices, they would truly become the Legendary Pokémon of legend.
There was another reason Cheng Tian disliked this pseudo-legendary Pokémon: its move pool was relatively shallow. For a physical attacker, it could learn pitifully few physical moves of its own types.
Yet even under these circumstances, Gamino had confidently sent out Kommo-o. This meant he must have been confident of victory.
