"Both sides, send out your Pokémon!"
Red light flashed, and six Pokémon appeared one after another: Espeon, Greninja, and Steelix.
Their opponents sent out Snorlax, Krookodile, and Hippowdon.
Bai Momo's eyes lit up. "He guessed right again."
Cheng Tian smiled inwardly. Originally, their plan had indeed been to run a Sandstorm Team, but Cheng Tian had suddenly suggested adding another Pokémon of a different type to balance their lineup, abandoning their own team composition to adapt to their opponents'. He had glanced at Senior Xiao Tu's analysis data and found that three of their opponents actually had Pokémon like Hippowdon. They were very likely experts at running Sandstorm Teams too.
That made things much easier. They only needed one weather setter anyway. Since their opponents were so eager to set the weather, they could have the job.
Sure enough, Hippowdon unleashed Sandstorm right away. Yellow sand filled the sky, looking utterly terrifying.
"Begin!"
Cheng Tian shouted, "Leave Krookodile to me! Senior A-Fei, cover He!"
Southwest Associated University was no pushover either. Krookodile did not attack immediately, instead launching into Swords Dance on the spot. Greninja raised a hand and fired five Water Shurikens, only for a fleshy belly to bounce them away.
"Snor!"
Yu Fei patted his belly. "Use Defense Curl, then Toxic!"
Snorlax curled its body into a ball, then began spraying poison nonstop as it rolled forward. It had turned into a poisonous fatty.
"Danger! Everyone, get out of the way!"
Greninja and Espeon quickly dodged aside, but Steelix showed no fear whatsoever, opening its terrifying jaws and biting at Snorlax.
Crunch struck Snorlax, but Snorlax raised a hand and retaliated with Slash, dealing horrifying damage to Steelix.
"Espeon, interrupt Krookodile's Swords Dance! Hyper Voice!"
"Hippowdon, protect Krookodile! Use Earthquake on Espeon!"
"Not so fast!" Cheng Tian shouted.
