The cold, damp rocks were covered in moss and felt slippery to the touch.
"Ngh..."
Cheng Tian lay on the moss-covered rocks and groaned.
"Gengar, Gengar."
At last, Cheng Tian finally woke up under Gengar's shaking.
"Hah..."
He looked around. The space here was enormous, as though Mt. Coronet had been hollowed out.
Although the space was huge, only one small area drew the eye. Three battered, broken sections of pillars stood there, uneven in height but extremely thick.
In the clearing surrounded by those pillars, a small, purplish-black black hole steadily flickered with an eerie glow.
Cheng Tian and Gengar slowly walked up to the black hole.
There was no mistake. Absolutely no mistake.
He had once faced that enormous black hole alone. He would never forget that familiar feeling for as long as he lived. The small black hole before him had merely shrunk in size, but it gave him exactly the same feeling.
There was no mistake. This was the entrance to the Distortion World.
"Cyrus came here, but he couldn't get inside. That was why..."
Cheng Tian shook his head. Looking at the black hole, which was about as tall as he was, he took a deep breath.
"Gengar!" Behind him, Gengar firmly patted his shoulder.
"Yeah!" Cheng Tian smiled confidently. "I know. There's nothing to be afraid of."
"With all of you here, I'm not afraid of anything."
Then he strode forward resolutely and stepped inside. His entire body was instantly swallowed by the black hole.
Desolation. Desolation as far as the eye could see.
That was the entirety of this peculiar world.
The terrain rose and fell here, with mountains, rivers, hills, canyons, and basins, but everywhere he looked was scorched earth, a landscape riddled with wounds where not a blade of grass
