The day's battles had finally come to an end. Though there had been a minor incident, one so small it had barely caused a ripple, to Steven, it still marred an otherwise perfect day.
In a room on the Top Floor.
Wallace and Drake sat on the sofa, chatting as they enjoyed their wine.
Every so often, however, their eyes drifted toward Steven.
Eventually, Wallace voiced his confusion.
"He was just a failed spy. Surely he wasn't much of a threat?"
Steven turned, came over to the sofa, and sat down before saying,
"An Ace is hardly worth mentioning, true. But the fact that he came from the Evil Moon Organization changes things..."
Drake frowned, searching his memory for a while before suddenly saying,
"Evil Moon? That organization was confirmed to have been wiped out, wasn't it? How is that possible? You captured Professor Anmu yourself!"
Wallace looked puzzled. He had never heard of the Evil Moon Organization, because when the unrest broke out in Rustboro City, the "Water Prince" had been serving as a guest at a Pokémon Contest...
Steven briefly explained the Rage Potion that had appeared long ago, the Bug Swarm Rampage incident, and the attack on Rustboro City, then continued,
"I don't know whether he was telling the truth, but there's one thing that really concerns me..."
Steven looked at them seriously and said quietly,
"His target was that special prize... Only the three of us and the other three Elite Four members knew about it... So how did that information get out?"

Wallace and Drake first exchanged shocked glances, then their expressions grew grave.
"Will only recently joined the Elite Four, and it hasn't been long since his screening ended. Even if he were involved, he wouldn't take such a reckless risk!"
