Just as the Ever Grande Conference entered its final stage, the Mirage Tower reappeared in the Great Desert Region north of Mauville City.
The Pokémon living in the desert fell into confusion once again. Only those quick enough to react and strong enough in will could escape the area.
The raging sandstorm followed no pattern, and waves of black energy storms engulfed the sand-filled space.
At that moment, a burst of fire suddenly blasted open the top of the Mirage Tower. A white figure shrouded in scarlet flames struggled out through the breach, its entire body bound in black chains.
Strange white flames instantly ignited the surrounding space. Wherever those ghostly flames passed, they left chaotic traces of spatial distortion.
Piercing roars rang out, their oppressive force as vast as an abyss, driving more and more wild Pokémon to flee.
Just then, high overhead, space trembled slightly, and a purple Sky Boundary sprang out like a mirror.
An enormous Pokémon appeared and let out a furious roar, freezing all the surrounding space!
The sand stopped flowing, and every fleeing Pokémon was immobilized on the ground.
At the top of the tower, the flame-covered figure paused briefly. Then great swaths of white flame suddenly flared across its body, and it instantly regained its ability to move!
The figure overhead grew even angrier. But upon seeing the black chains binding the other Pokémon, it hesitated and lowered its raised arm. Instead, it brought both arms together, sending a rapidly spreading wave of pale purple and silvery-white energy around the entire Mirage Tower. Space trembled once more.
In the blink of an eye, the Mirage Tower vanished!
