This was where the Pokémon World began.

The Kanto Region held a very special place throughout the original Pokémon series.

In reality, however, the Kanto Region and the Johto Region were almost entirely connected. Only an enormous waterfall, Johto Falls, separated them, dividing them into two regions.

Strictly speaking, it should have been called the Kanto Region.

But it was called Kanto to better distinguish it from the Johto Region.

This was the birthplace of the Pokémon story, and it also concealed secret legends about the origins of the Pokémon World.

It was a vast region east of the Johto Region, north of the Hoenn Region, and south of the Sinnoh Region.

It encompassed nearly the entire southwestern expanse of the Pokémon World.

It bordered the mainland and lay beside numerous islands and stretches of sea.

Moreover, the Kanto Region was the only region to have appeared in all five generations of the original series.

The climate here was mild. There were relatively few distinctive attractions, perhaps because this had been the first region introduced in the Pokémon World, so early that the worldbuilding was still incomplete.

But the Kanto Region's standing would never change.

Most of its land consisted of forests and plains. Many of its major cities lay in the center of the region, with dense connections between them.

The cities were also closely intertwined with their natural surroundings. Oceans, mountains, forests, islands, wetlands-every type of terrain in the Pokémon World could be found here.

Celadon City.

This city lay in the center of the Kanto Region and was one of its largest, second in size only to the sprawling metropolis of Saffron City to the east.

The city brimmed with modern flair and a keen sense of fashion, making it a popular destination for girls to visit.
