A thunderous roar burst from Zhao Wuji's mouth.
His body began swelling rapidly, his muscles bulging all over. Even his height shot up from one meter sixty to over two meters, making him look imposing and mighty.
Yellow, yellow, purple, purple-four Soul Rings circled around him. He had kept his word and activated only four.
His first Yellow Soul Ring lit up, and an intense golden radiance instantly erupted from his entire body.
Three streaks of black light shot toward him from behind, striking the golden radiance surrounding Zhao Wuji.
The tremendous force of those three strikes sent Zhao Wuji flying. He had thought the attack was over, but another dozen or so streaks of black light came shooting toward him, this time from every direction.
"Cough, cough, cough-"
Although Zhao Wuji had blocked the first three strikes, the blows left him gasping for air. The dozen or so that followed nearly drove him to activate his Seventh Soul Ring.
Suddenly, he caught sight of a figure through the smoke. Without a second thought, Zhao Wuji activated his fourth Soul Ring. It flew eerily off his body and hurtled toward that figure.
By now, he had realized something was wrong with the smoke. He could barely open his eyes, tears streamed down his face, his nose ran, and his stomach churned. If he did not escape this accursed place soon, he would probably end up lying on the ground begging for help.
"Fourth Soul Skill: Position Tracking!" Zhao Wuji roared.
He sensed that his fourth Soul Ring had already slipped around someone. Secretly pleased, he swiftly channeled his soul power and leaped from where he stood, flying straight into the distance.
