Being late to elementary school was hardly a serious matter, but neither of them wanted to be late, especially Rika Orimoto, who was a model student in her teacher's eyes.
With only five minutes left before they would be late, both shot out of their seats at the same time, ready to give it everything they had and sprint to school as fast as possible.
Seeing how nervous they were, Chinatsu inwardly reproached herself. Since when had she become so mean?
Before they could run out of the fast-food restaurant, she hurried over and placed a hand on each of their shoulders, telling them not to worry about being late.
"Relax. Forget five minutes-even if you only had one minute left, I could still get you to school on time."
Chinatsu's calm tone gradually eased Okkotsu and Rika's mounting anxiety. She led them leisurely out of the restaurant and told them to stand shoulder to shoulder.
Okkotsu and Rika naturally did as she asked, but they had no idea why she wanted them to do that. Confusion was written all over their faces.
"Well then, see you in a few years~"
With those words, Chinatsu slowly raised her hands and clasped them together, using the teleportation technique made possible by Blue on the two of them.
In the blink of an eye, the scenery before them changed completely. One moment, they had been outside the fast-food restaurant; the next, they had stepped through their school's gates.
Students walked past them, and one coming up from behind accidentally bumped into the suddenly appearing Okkotsu. The student never even considered teleportation, though, assuming he had simply been too sleepy that morning to notice him.
Okkotsu and Rika blinked blankly. They truly had not expected Chinatsu to be capable of something like this.
