Ch. 41Tengen's evolution

Tengen began her evolution with Chinatsu and Satoru Gojo standing by to stop her if she became dangerous. After two days of waiting and training in the Tombs of the Star Corridor, unusual cursed energy surged from the tree where Tengen was evolving, leaving the two on alert.

  • Tengen chose evolution and asked Chinatsu and Satoru Gojo to kill her if she became a monster.
  • Unusual cursed energy began radiating from the towering tree as Tengen's evolution started.
  • Chinatsu and Satoru Gojo watched for trouble and discussed whether Tengen might evolve into SkullGreymon.
  • While waiting, Chinatsu and Satoru Gojo trained to improve their techniques and automatic Limitless Defense.
  • After two days, cursed energy surged from the tree, and Chinatsu and Satoru Gojo prepared for a possible problem with Tengen's evolution.

Ch. 42Battle in the Tombs of the Star Corridor

Satoru Gojo and Chinatsu fought a monstrous tree-like creature in the Tombs of the Star Corridor and discovered Tengen was trapped inside it. After Chinatsu pulled Tengen free, Gojo destroyed the creature with Hollow Technique: Purple, leaving the area silent.

  • The transformed tree attacked Chinatsu and Satoru Gojo with razor-sharp vines, but Limitless Defense protected them.
  • Gojo struck the creature with maximum-output Blue, then he and Chinatsu damaged its chest with simultaneous Reds and spotted a humanoid figure inside.
  • Gojo used multiple Blues and a strengthened Red to weaken the creature while avoiding Purple so Tengen would not be caught in its blast.
  • Chinatsu teleported to the creature, cleared its surface with Blue-imbued punches, and pulled Tengen free before escaping its frenzied attacks.
  • Gojo used Hollow Technique: Purple to destroy the creature, and silence returned to the Tombs of the Star Corridor.

Ch. 43The young Tengen

After Chinatsu and Satoru defeated the monster, they discovered that Tengen had emerged from her evolution looking young and human. When Tengen’s barriers across Japan stopped working, they woke her so she could address the problem.

  • Chinatsu laid the unconscious Tengen on the ground and realized she looked young after evolving.
  • Satoru asked what had happened, and Chinatsu theorized that Tengen’s uncontrolled cursed energy had transformed the nearby tree into a monster.
  • Masamichi Yaga called Chinatsu to report that all of Tengen’s barriers across the country had stopped working.
  • Chinatsu explained the situation to Yaga, then decided that she and Satoru needed to wake Tengen.
  • Satoru slapped Tengen awake with his Tathagata Divine Palm, and she sat cross-legged with burning cheeks and a resentful expression.

Ch. 44Busy jujutsu sorcerers

After Tengen's evolution, she learned that all her barriers had failed and began traveling across the country to repair them, leaving Chinatsu and Gojo to handle the surge in jujutsu assignments. Chinatsu worried about saving Haibara and keeping Geto from breaking down, then received a call from the Elder asking her to come home to discuss something.

  • Tengen woke after her evolution and learned from Chinatsu that all her barriers had failed, so she would have to travel to repair them.
  • With cursed spirits growing more active, Jujutsu Society sent sorcerers into overtime, and Chinatsu and Gojo divided up assignments by location.
  • Chinatsu noticed first-years Haibara and Nanami outside the classroom and worried about saving Haibara and preventing Geto's mental collapse.
  • Gojo left to work on his assignments and play basketball with Geto, while Chinatsu finished organizing her own workload.
  • The Elder called Chinatsu and asked her to come home because he had a few things to discuss.

Ch. 45Clan Head (1)

Chinatsu returned to the Gojo Clan estate after finishing her jujutsu assignments and discovered that the Elder had summoned her to meet with the clan elders. The Elder told her that seven of the eleven elders supported her becoming the next head of the Gojo Clan.

  • Chinatsu cleared cursed spirits across eastern Tokyo and finished her assignments by dusk.
  • Chinatsu returned to the Gojo Clan estate, where the servants welcomed her warmly and reminded her that the Elder had summoned her.
  • Chinatsu entered the Elder's dark room and saw through the elders' attempt to startle her.
  • The Gojo elders emerged from hiding, and the Elder explained that seven of the eleven elders supported Chinatsu as the clan's next head.

Ch. 46Clan Head (2)

Chinatsu resisted the Gojo elders’ efforts to make her Clan Head but reluctantly agreed to take the position if there were no other options. Meanwhile, Satoru Gojo finished a mission and headed back to Jujutsu High with a bag of sweets and a lucky ten-thousand-yen bill.

  • Chinatsu questioned why the elders had to choose between her and Satoru Gojo, but the Elder explained that clan rules and her popularity made her the leading candidate.
  • The Elder showed Chinatsu that seven of the eleven elders supported her and that she was especially popular among ordinary clan members.
  • Chinatsu said she would take over only if there were no other choice, making the elders celebrate by opening champagne with Jujutsu.
  • Satoru Gojo returned from a solo mission carrying a bag full of sweets and found a ten-thousand-yen bill stuck to his shoe.

Ch. 47Six months later

Six months after Tengen’s evolution disrupted barriers across Japan, Suguru Geto trained Yu Haibara and Kento Nanami to coat ordinary weapons with cursed energy. At lunch, Masamichi Yaga told Chinatsu, Satoru Gojo, and Suguru Geto that they had been designated Special Grade Sorcerers, and Geto learned the promotion paid little more than Grade 1.

  • Suguru Geto taught Yu Haibara and Kento Nanami to gradually coat ordinary weapons with cursed energy and demonstrated Playful Cloud.
  • Yu Haibara tried to imbue an unsharpened sword with cursed energy, shattered it, and cheerfully tried again while Kento Nanami reminded him to be gentle.
  • Chinatsu, Shoko, Satoru Gojo, and Suguru Geto ate lunch in the Jujutsu High cafeteria as Chinatsu complained that everyone treated her as its chef.
  • Masamichi Yaga told Chinatsu, Satoru Gojo, and Suguru Geto that the Jujutsu Higher-Ups had designated them Special Grade Sorcerers.
  • Suguru Geto asked whether Special Grade missions paid more, then returned to his soba noodles after Yaga said the pay was only slightly higher than Grade 1.

Ch. 48Special Grade

Chinatsu accepted her Special Grade title without excitement and resumed training because she still had to master a Domain. As news of the new Special Grade sorcerers stirred the clans, five-year-old Megumi Fushiguro awakened his ability to see cursed spirits, and Toji welcomed him to Jujutsu Society.

  • Chinatsu finished her curry and returned to training, determined to master a Domain of her own.
  • The Gojo Clan celebrated Chinatsu, Satoru Gojo, and Suguru Geto becoming Special Grade Sorcerers, while Naobito Zenin lamented that the Zenin Clan lacked a Ten Shadows Technique wielder.
  • Toji Fushiguro complained about losing the lottery and his gambling habit as Megumi Fushiguro went to get milk.
  • Megumi Fushiguro saw the cursed spirit wrapped around Toji Fushiguro and stopped in surprise.
  • Toji Fushiguro realized Megumi had awakened his ability to see cursed spirits and congratulated him on joining Jujutsu Society.

Ch. 49The dark side

Toji Fushiguro told Megumi Fushiguro and Tsumiki Fushiguro about Jujutsu Society after discovering Megumi had awakened the Ten Shadows Technique. Years later, Chinatsu encountered villagers abusing two girls they called monsters, leaving her confronting the same cruelty that had contributed to Suguru Geto’s breakdown.

  • Toji Fushiguro discovered that Megumi Fushiguro had awakened the Ten Shadows Technique and decided to keep the discovery from Naobito Zenin for now.
  • Toji Fushiguro explained Jujutsu Society and Cursed Spirits to Megumi Fushiguro and Tsumiki Fushiguro, then assured Tsumiki he was powerful and struck Megumi when he doubted him.
  • Megumi Fushiguro began training as a Jujutsu Sorcerer at home while Chinatsu, Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri advanced into their third year at Jujutsu High.
  • Chinatsu continued taking missions and documenting Jujutsu Society’s corruption as groundwork for her plans to reform it.
  • Chinatsu followed Cursed Energy to a remote village and saw adults drag two crying girls while villagers cursed them as monsters.

Ch. 50Nanako and Mimiko

Chinatsu rescued Nanako and Mimiko from the villagers who had blamed and imprisoned them, then invited the twin sisters to leave the village with her. After returning to Tokyo, she led the girls into a designer clothing store.

  • Chinatsu appeared as villagers were taking Nanako and Mimiko away and knocked them down with her bare fists.
  • Chinatsu used Blue to lift the villagers into the air, then reassured the girls that they were jujutsu sorcerers, not monsters.
  • Chinatsu invited Nanako and Mimiko to come with her, and the girls accepted.
  • Chinatsu took the twins back to Tokyo by taxi and paid the expensive fare herself.
  • Chinatsu led Nanako and Mimiko toward a designer clothing store instead of taking them straight home.

Ch. 51Soothing the Trauma

Chinatsu took Nanako and Mimiko shopping for new clothes, giving the sisters a chance to release years of pent-up emotion. She brought them to the Gojo Clan estate, where they agreed to enter the jujutsu world as trainee sorcerers.

  • Chinatsu brought Nanako and Mimiko to a designer store owned by the Gojo Clan and arranged new clothes for them.
  • Nanako and Mimiko cried as painful memories resurfaced, and Chinatsu quietly let them express their emotions.
  • Chinatsu gave the sisters broad-brimmed hats and led them toward their new home.
  • Nanako and Mimiko were astonished to find that their new home was the grand Gojo Clan estate.
  • Chinatsu reassured the sisters, and Nanako and Mimiko declared that they were ready to enter the jujutsu world as trainee sorcerers.

Ch. 52Safeguarding the future

Chinatsu settled Nanako and Mimiko into the Gojo Clan Estate, then worried about the corruption in Jujutsu Society and the danger awaiting her juniors. She took two grade 1 cursed tools from the clan storehouse to give Yu Haibara and Kento Nanami a hidden reserve of power.

  • Nanako and Mimiko introduced themselves politely to the Gojo Clan servants, and Chinatsu explained that she regarded the servants as relatives who had cared for her.
  • Chinatsu arranged for Nanako and Mimiko to live at the estate and reflected on their potential with jujutsu and her own hopes of developing a domain.
  • The next morning, Chinatsu went to the clan storehouse and selected a pair of grade 1 gauntlets and a cleaver-like cursed tool.
  • Chinatsu suspected that the higher-ups might deliberately endanger Yu Haibara and Kento Nanami, so she took the cursed tools to Jujutsu High to give them a trump card.

Ch. 53Kenjaku's move

After Mei Mei reported finding Kenjaku, Chinatsu realized the sorcerer was heading to South Africa and suspected she was pursuing the Black Rope. The chapter left Chinatsu confronting the implications of Kenjaku’s move.

  • Chinatsu gave Yu Haibara and Kento Nanami Grade 1 Cursed Tools and advised them to save the tools for emergencies.
  • Satoru Gojo teased Chinatsu about his progress developing a domain, provoking her to intensify her training.
  • Mei Mei messaged Chinatsu that she had found the scarred Kenjaku at an airport preparing to travel to South Africa.
  • Chinatsu realized that Kenjaku might be seeking the Special Grade Cursed Tool Black Rope.

Ch. 54The Operation's Downfall

Chinatsu had already arranged for every Black Rope in existence to be destroyed and its makers brought to safety, while Kenjaku traveled to South Africa hoping to obtain the cursed tool. Kenjaku reached the village and found it deserted, leaving her plans in doubt.

  • Chinatsu reassured herself that she had prepared for the Black Rope’s threat and hired Mei Mei for ten million to report when Kenjaku returned to Japan.
  • Mei Mei watched Kenjaku through her crows, confirmed she had boarded a plane, and ended her surveillance.
  • Kenjaku wondered who had been watching her and reflected that the Gojo Clan’s two Six Eyes sorcerers had disrupted her plans.
  • Kenjaku flew to South Africa to obtain several Black Ropes and found the village where they were made deserted.

Ch. 55Torment and relaxation

After destroying the Black Rope, Chinatsu sent information to Mei Mei and spent a month struggling to make progress on her Domain Expansion. Seeking a break in Akihabara, she visited her old café and began treating her former coworker Kana’s shoulder pain with Reverse Cursed Technique.

  • Chinatsu reflected that Kenjaku might have the Prison Realm and worried that he or Ryomen Sukuna could still have hidden trump cards.
  • Chinatsu stopped Satoru Gojo from looking at her phone, then resolved to avoid him while she trained to complete her domain first.
  • After a month of intensive training without progress, Chinatsu left Jujutsu High and walked to Akihabara to relax.
  • Chinatsu reunited with Kana at their former café and learned that Kana had become its assistant manager.
  • When Kana complained of sore shoulders, Chinatsu sat her down and used Reverse Cursed Technique while pretending to give her a massage.

Ch. 56Kenjaku Descends

Chinatsu relaxed with Kana at the café until Jujutsu Society sent her to investigate a suspected special grade cursed spirit in Kagoshima. After the driver tried to flee, Chinatsu destroyed the car and discovered Kenjaku waiting in a nearby grove.

  • Chinatsu used Reverse Cursed Technique to ease Kana’s aching shoulders, and they chatted and exchanged contact details.
  • Jujutsu Society ordered Chinatsu to investigate a suspected special grade cursed spirit in Kagoshima and arranged a car to take her there.
  • After Chinatsu arrived, the driver suddenly tried to leave, so she fired Red at the car and left him unable to move.
  • Chinatsu spotted a woman emerging from a grove and recognized her as Kenjaku, who praised Chinatsu’s perception and reflexes.

Ch. 57A vicious battle

Chinatsu confronted Kenjaku after Kenjaku escaped surveillance and attacked her, trading powerful close-range blows before Kenjaku opened her domain. Chinatsu used Simple Domain to counter its guaranteed-hit effect, but the protection began to erode as she faced Kenjaku under mounting pressure.

  • Chinatsu realized Mei Mei had failed to keep Kenjaku under surveillance, then braced herself when Kenjaku appeared before her.
  • Chinatsu surprised Kenjaku with a sudden punch and a reinforced kick, forcing Kenjaku backward and scraping her cheek.
  • Chinatsu prepared to fire Red, but Kenjaku used reversed Anti-Gravity System to crush the ground beneath Chinatsu and deflect the attack.
  • Kenjaku opened Domain Expansion: Womb Profusion, threatening to bypass Chinatsu's Limitless Defense with its guaranteed-hit effect.
  • Chinatsu activated Simple Domain to temporarily neutralize the guaranteed hit, but its protected ground began to erode as she held her stance against Kenjaku.

Ch. 58Domain Expansion

Chinatsu fought Kenjaku by repeatedly replacing her Simple Domain while enduring a barrage of attacks, then abandoned healing and focused on striking back. After Kenjaku’s domain finally broke through, Chinatsu began her own Domain Expansion, leaving the battle’s outcome unresolved.

  • Kenjaku’s domain repeatedly crushed Chinatsu’s Simple Domain, but Chinatsu deployed another each time it collapsed.
  • Kenjaku rushed Chinatsu and attacked while she struggled to maintain her Simple Domain and defend herself.
  • Chinatsu stopped healing and concentrated on fighting, using Blue at maximum output to slam Kenjaku into the ground and send her flying.
  • Kenjaku’s domain destroyed the final Simple Domain, leaving Chinatsu fully exposed.
  • Chinatsu formed a mudra and activated Domain Expansion: Mirror Flower, Water Moon.

Ch. 59Mirror Flower, Water Moon

Chinatsu trapped Kenjaku in her incomplete domain, Mirror Flower, Water Moon, where repeated false versions of events concealed her opening to strike. Chinatsu landed a Black Flash that broke Kenjaku’s arms and collapsed both domains, forcing Kenjaku to flee.

  • Chinatsu expanded her closed domain, and Kenjaku attacked its shell with her open domain.
  • Kenjaku repeatedly believed she had struck Chinatsu, only to discover she had returned to her starting position inside an illusion.
  • Chinatsu used Teleportation to land a Black Flash on Kenjaku, breaking her arms and collapsing both domains.
  • Kenjaku realized she could not continue the fight and fled while Chinatsu was unable to use Teleportation.

Ch. 60Overdrawn

After awakening her incomplete domain in a battle with Kenjaku, Chinatsu was too exhausted to stop Kenjaku escaping or contact anyone before collapsing into sleep. Several days later, she woke to a flood of calls and messages, reassured Satoru Gojo, and said she would return to Jujutsu High soon.

  • Chinatsu, suffering cursed technique burnout, shot Kenjaku with a cursed energy projectile but could not prevent her from fleeing.
  • Chinatsu realized the battle had awakened her domain, then reached an inn and collapsed into sleep without contacting anyone.
  • Several days later, Chinatsu woke and found numerous missed calls and unread messages, most from Satoru Gojo.
  • Chinatsu called Satoru Gojo back, reassured him that she was fine, and said she would return to Jujutsu High in an hour or two.
