Tengen thought for a very, very long time before answering Miwa Chisei.
"I understand, Miwa Family Head."
Miwa Chisei seemed to hear all the tangled emotions in that reply, and she smiled casually.
"I'll bring a gift next time. How about some dango? From a shop Satoru likes."
Tengen's eyes narrowed gently, and he nodded.
In his memories, everyone had revered and feared him, treating him with great care, afraid that angering him would cause him to stop sustaining the barriers throughout the world.
As time passed, even he had forgotten that he had once been human.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. I'll be going, then."
Miwa Chisei waved and turned to leave the Tombs of the Star Corridor.
Unlike the elusive figure who was always hiding away in the descriptions, Tengen had appeared openly before her.
He probably hid from Satoru Gojo because that guy was too noisy.
That had to be it.
But that was not the case. Tengen might have been overly rational toward everyone else, but he would always hold a measure of respect for the Miwa family.
Though people with ulterior motives had interfered, making the rumors in Jujutsu Society increasingly vicious, he had always believed that a child would come along and break through all of it.
She would trust only her own eyes, only her own heart.
Tengen's figure faded again, dissolving into the void, while Miwa Chisei, armed with this information, could hardly wait to return to the rooftop to find Satoru Gojo and Toji Fushiguro.
After hearing how to undo the Prison Realm's seal, Toji Fushiguro grinned almost from ear to ear.
"Well, well. Guess the young master of the Gojo Clan will have to beg me, huh?"
Satoru Gojo idly picked at his ear with his little finger and began complaining.
