Geto stopped Gojo just as he was about to start swinging.
Although the unfamiliar Jujutsu Sorcerer in front of them was saying strange things, that very strangeness made Geto feel they needed to ask more questions.
After all, the words "Gojo, you finally brought Geto back to life" struck him as rather unsettling.
Back to life... wouldn't I have to have died first for that to apply?

The way the stranger addressed them was odd, too. He called Satoru by his surname but used Geto's given name-only people who were very close called each other by their given names.
Could he have some connection to me? But I've never seen him before. Today should be our first meeting.
Or could he be an enemy? After all, Satoru and I are both Special Grade Sorcerers, and our names aren't secret. We also happen to be carrying out a mission from Tengen. It's not impossible that someone deliberately wants to approach us...

He looked at the Sorcerer before him. When the stranger looked at them, his eyes were clear and unguarded, showing an obvious sense of closeness.
His behavior was natural, without the slightest hint of pretense.
Even when Gojo made it clear he wanted to punch him, the man seemed not to notice anything wrong at all. He still came up to them with a relaxed expression, showing not the slightest wariness.
It felt like the easy trust between companions who knew each other well.
Besides... the stranger clearly didn't seem to have much cursed energy, yet after falling from such a height, he had only been dazed for a few seconds before bouncing right back. Normally, a fall like that could easily break bones or knock someone unconscious.
