Gojo held Geto in his arms and spoke softly.
He knew his Geto had already noticed something was wrong.
Geto was clever. Give him even a little information, and he would spot the problem.
But Gojo had never intended to hide the "Kenjaku" version of the "truth" from him anyway.
Still, that "truth" couldn't come from him, nor could it come from Yaga or Shoko.
-He had keenly realized that after seeing Masamichi just now.
When he went to see Masamichi, he had originally planned to tell them everything in the "Kenjaku version" so both of them could prepare themselves.
But the complicated emotions Masamichi revealed when facing Geto, and the way Geto looked frightened for that brief instant, had made him realize something-
Those of them who knew Geto had become a curse user in the past would cause him pressure and pain no matter how they told him about it.
Even telling Geto, "Kenjaku did all of this," wouldn't dispel that oppressive atmosphere.
Because they all knew that person had been Geto.
The "Kenjaku" excuse he had prepared could fool outsiders, but not Masamichi Yaga and Shoko.
Those emotions would naturally show whenever they were around Geto.
And he wanted this sixteen-year-old Geto, who had just woken up, to have an easier time and bear as little of that pressure as possible.
So they couldn't be the ones to tell him.
His eyes flickered.
"Geto..."
Gojo was about to speak when his phone vibrated with an incoming text, making both of them pause.
The white-haired young man took out his phone, glanced at the screen where Geto couldn't see it, then looked up and spoke regretfully.
"Geto, something urgent's come up. I might have to come back to see you a little later..."
