You've probably all heard about the Jujutsu Kaisen Schrödinger's Collapse Incident by now, so here is my statement.
This really does leave a bad taste in my mouth, because the author still hasn't responded. Maybe they haven't noticed, but I don't intend to keep waiting, and I don't want my readers to keep waiting for me either. So even if things get cleared up, I probably won't write Jujutsu Kaisen for a while. The problem is that this fic's episodic format makes it manageable, but the Chaldea fic is so deeply intertwined with Jujutsu Kaisen that even revising it would be difficult. It also has a lot of readers supporting it, so I've decided on the following.
Next, I'll work flat out on the Chaldea fic and finish the plot of the Surtr arc as quickly as possible. I expect that to take three or four chapters.
Thank you all for liking my writing and the world I've created. I'll still give that fic a proper resolution. This villain fic may go on hiatus for a week or two. (There's also foreshadowing involving a "god" on An'an's side that's too deeply tied to Jujutsu Kaisen. I was originally torn between writing Verlaine, Chūya Nakahara, or Suguru Geto. Now there's no need to agonize over that; I only have to choose between Verlaine and Chūya Nakahara. Personally, I lean toward Verlaine, since so few people write him. Here's a little spoiler for you: it's a grand sacrifice, and also the beginning of Zero's disappearance~) After that, I'll bring in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn! cast and cut the later Jujutsu Kaisen viewing segments and scenes.
Every fic an author writes is a labor of love, and I don't like wrapping things up hastily either. But I have my dealbreakers. Call me oversensitive
