Haruto looked up and saw Tengen Uzui gripping the chain, whirling his twin blades with a fierce rush of wind as he strode toward Gyutaro nearby!
"What?" Gyutaro froze. He redirected the spurting blood in midair, trying to halt Tengen Uzui's advance!
"You've already been poisoned by my blood... you won't last much longer..."
He grinned broadly and laughed. "Soon, the poison will spread to your hearts..."
Haruto raised his arm. A faint purple discoloration had already begun spreading from the cut.
A tingling numbness crept up his arm, but before long, his body broke down the poison on its own.
As though he hadn't heard a word, Tengen Uzui precisely knocked aside the incoming blood scythes with his twin blades.
"One! Three! Five! Wei! Jin!"
Following the rhythmic rise and fall of Tengen Uzui's shouted notes, his Nichirin Blades knocked aside the scythes formed from blood with unerring accuracy, and he closed in on Gyutaro in moments.
"You utterly unflashy demon! I've completely deciphered the filthy score your life has played!"
"Haruto! Now's your chance! Go cut off Daki's head!"
Even amid such a fast-paced clash, Tengen Uzui found time to turn and shout to Haruto. "A little poison can't stop me! After all... I started out as a ninja!"
