Ch. 121The Final Push

Chinatsu persuaded Oyakata-sama to let her serve as bait for Muzan instead of sacrificing himself, then told the Demon Slayer Corps that killing Muzan was their only chance to save him. They scheduled the Infinity Castle battle for a week later and prepared to strengthen Oyakata-sama until then.

  • Chinatsu guessed Oyakata-sama's plan to lure Muzan to Corps Headquarters and wound him with black powder, then offered to take his place as bait.
  • Chinatsu told the training group that Oyakata-sama was near death and that killing Muzan could lift the curse keeping him ill.
  • Sanemi Shinazugawa and the others rallied at the prospect of saving Oyakata-sama, and Chinatsu explained the battle plan.
  • Obanai Iguro and Muichiro Tokito asked for more time to pursue the Transparent World, so Chinatsu scheduled the Infinity Castle battle for a week later.
  • Chinatsu asked Amane to give Oyakata-sama as many restorative supplements as possible, regardless of side effects.

Ch. 122Muzan's excitement

Obanai Iguro and Muichiro Tokito mastered the Transparent World before the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters’ location was leaked. Muzan confirmed the discovery through Nakime and eagerly planned to attack the next night, but killed the demon who found it after using the report.

  • Amane kept feeding Oyakata-sama supplements while their children ignored his silent pleas for help.
  • Obanai Iguro and Muichiro Tokito mastered the Transparent World within the seven-day delay, bringing the total number of Pillars who had mastered it to four.
  • An ordinary demon investigated rumors about the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters and reported its suspected location to Muzan.
  • Muzan ordered Nakime to verify the report, and her eyeball confirmed that the site was the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters.
  • Muzan praised the demon, then burst its body from afar and resolved to attack the headquarters the following night.

Ch. 123Prelude to Infinity Castle

As the Demon Slayer Corps prepared for Muzan’s arrival, Chinatsu took her place at Oyakata-sama’s mansion to draw him in. Muzan appeared before her, and Chinatsu drew her Nichirin Blade as their final battle began.

  • The Corps evacuated most personnel from headquarters while the remaining swordsmen awaited Muzan; Mitsuri and Obanai talked about going to a restaurant after the battle.
  • Chinatsu steadied herself in her room and found Tanjiro waiting outside, nervous about the coming fight.
  • Chinatsu reassured Tanjiro, told him to follow the plan, and went to Oyakata-sama’s mansion, where she waited openly for Muzan.
  • Muzan arrived at headquarters and approached Chinatsu, viewing her as prey and reacting with fear and excitement.
  • Chinatsu rose, drew her Nichirin Blade, and faced Muzan as the final battle began.

Ch. 124An all-out assault

Chinatsu lured Muzan into a gunpowder explosion, then the Demon Slayer Corps launched a coordinated assault while he was badly wounded. Shinobu injected him with Ultimate Poison, weakening him before Nakime transported the surrounding swordsmen into the Infinity Castle.

  • Chinatsu provoked Muzan with words that reminded him of Yoriichi, then used Sun Breathing to shield herself as hidden gunpowder beneath the mansion exploded.
  • Muzan and Chinatsu struggled to regenerate from their injuries until Gyomei Himejima struck Muzan with his Meteor Hammer and the other Demon Slayers joined the fight.
  • Tanjiro disguised as Yoriichi Tsugikuni distracted Muzan, allowing Shinobu Kocho to stab him with her injection-capable Nichirin Blade and deliver Ultimate Poison.
  • Giyu Tomioka caught Shinobu after Muzan knocked her away, while Muzan realized the poison was weakening him.
  • Muzan called for Nakime, who used her biwa to transport the surrounding Demon Slayer Corps swordsmen into the Infinity Castle.

Ch. 125A tide of demons

Muzan fled through Infinity Castle while his body regenerated and the poison Shinobu Kocho had given him took effect. Chinatsu arrived injured, fought off a tide of mass-produced Lower Rank demons with Inosuke, and ended the assault with Moon Breathing.

  • Muzan escaped his pursuers as Nakime manipulated Infinity Castle to hide him, unaware that the poison had already begun affecting him.
  • Nakime transported Chinatsu and the other swordsmen into the castle, where Chinatsu fell to the floor while badly wounded.
  • Mass-produced Lower Rank demons surrounded Chinatsu, and Inosuke charged through them to protect her.
  • Inosuke struggled against the demons' numbers while Chinatsu healed her wounds.
  • Chinatsu unleashed Moon Breathing, Sixth Form: Eternal Night, Lone Moon-Endless, shredding the demons around them.

Ch. 126Doma's Arrival

Chinatsu and Inosuke searched for their scattered companions after fighting through demons, but Doma appeared before they could find anyone. Newly promoted to Upper Rank One and strengthened by Muzan’s blood, Doma attacked them with his Blood Demon Art, leaving them facing an enormous ice bodhisattva.

  • Chinatsu sensed for the others while Inosuke used Beast Breathing, but neither found their companions.
  • Chinatsu and Inosuke detected Doma approaching and watched him land in front of them.
  • Doma revealed that he had become Upper Rank One after Kokushibo’s death and had received more of Muzan’s blood.
  • Doma summoned an enormous ice bodhisattva with his Blood Demon Art, and its palm struck toward Chinatsu and Inosuke.

Ch. 127Old grudges, new scores

Chinatsu fought Doma while protecting Inosuke from his ice attacks and sent him to find the demon controlling the Infinity Castle. Left alone with Doma, Chinatsu prepared to avenge the people he had killed as their duel began.

  • Doma's Mystic Ice Bodhisattva struck at Chinatsu and Inosuke, and Chinatsu kicked Inosuke clear before dodging the attack herself.
  • Doma sent ice spears at the pair, but Chinatsu cut them apart and told Inosuke to find and kill the demon controlling the Infinity Castle.
  • Chinatsu blocked Doma's Blood Demon Art, Vine Lotus, as Inosuke escaped, leaving her to face Doma alone.
  • Doma wondered whether he had seen Inosuke before, and Chinatsu recalled that he had killed Inosuke's mother, Kotoha, as well as Kanae Kocho.
  • Chinatsu turned her Nichirin Blade bright red and took her stance against Doma, ready to settle their scores.

Ch. 128Fierce Battle with Doma!

Chinatsu endured Doma’s ice assault and used Moon Breathing to wound him and destroy his ice constructs. Doma realized she wielded Kokushibo’s sword techniques, and faced a second wave of attacks.

  • Doma summoned an army of ice constructs and unleashed them against Chinatsu.
  • Chinatsu survived the frozen hell and cut Doma’s neck with a distant blade of sword aura.
  • Doma recognized the sword aura as similar to Kokushibo’s and wondered whether Kokushibo had returned to life.
  • Chinatsu used Moon Breathing, Eighth Form: Moon Dragon Tail, to shatter a Mystic Ice Bodhisattva.
  • Chinatsu followed with Moon Breathing, Sixth Form: Eternal Night, Lone Moon-Endless, as Doma struggled to defend himself.

Ch. 129Doma's Fluttering Heart

Chinatsu fought Doma through his Ice Creations and defeated him by decapitating him with her Bright Red Nichirin Sword. As Doma crumbled away, Chinatsu sent him to Hell and turned her attention to Muzan.

  • Doma used his Ice Army to shield himself from Chinatsu’s Moon Breathing attacks, then summoned his Asura Ice Creation and fought back with his Blood Demon Arts.
  • Doma mistook his exhilaration during the battle for human love, while Chinatsu unleashed Moon Breathing’s Fourteenth Form and shattered his ice defenses.
  • Chinatsu used Hinokami Kagura: Mirage Sun Rainbow to move behind Doma and cut off his head.
  • Doma tried to survive decapitation, but Chinatsu planted her foot on his head and broke his concentration.
  • Chinatsu told Doma that Gyokko and Hantengu were waiting in Hell, then delivered the final blow and resolved to face Muzan next.

Ch. 130The pursuit

Inosuke and Chinatsu searched the Infinity Castle for Nakime, who controlled it. Inosuke found her but could not reach her, while Chinatsu came across injured Shinobu Kocho and Giyu Tomioka and faced Muzan Kibutsuji.

  • Inosuke narrowed his Spatial Awareness and located Nakime, who dropped the floor beneath him into an abyss.
  • Inosuke climbed the shaft and leaped toward Nakime, but she placed a building between them and sent him crashing into it.
  • Chinatsu recovered from her fight with Doma and searched the Infinity Castle, ignoring the demons in her path.
  • Chinatsu reached a suspicious location as a wall shattered and Shinobu Kocho and Giyu Tomioka flew through it, wounded by Muzan Kibutsuji's Bone Whip.
  • Chinatsu checked on Shinobu Kocho and Giyu Tomioka, then entered the room with her Bright Red Nichirin Sword to confront Muzan Kibutsuji.

Ch. 131Natural disasters and the weak

Chinatsu arrived at the battlefield to find Muzan fighting the wounded Demon Slayer Corps, and sent Tanjiro to care for the injured so she could face Muzan alone. Muzan called himself a natural disaster, but Chinatsu enraged him by reminding him of his humiliating defeat and escape from Yoriichi Tsugikuni.

  • Chinatsu saw that Muzan had emerged before fully recovering and had overwhelmed the Demon Slayers, though they had fought better than he expected.
  • Chinatsu joined Tanjiro, who had awakened the Transparent World but was badly injured, and asked whether he could still fight.
  • Chinatsu ordered Tanjiro to look after the wounded, and he reluctantly left her to confront Muzan.
  • Muzan compared himself to a natural disaster and claimed that the strong should not be burdened by the weak.
  • Chinatsu reminded Muzan that Yoriichi had defeated him instantly and that he had fled in terror, provoking Muzan's fury.

Ch. 132Overwhelming power

Muzan attacked Chinatsu after she exposed his humiliating defeat by Yoriichi, and she fought back with Hinokami Kagura and Moon Breathing. Although the Ultimate Poison was aging Muzan, his overwhelming strength kept Chinatsu on the defensive as the battle continued.

  • Muzan flew into a rage when Chinatsu revealed that Yoriichi had nearly killed him, and he struck her through a wall with his bone whips.
  • Chinatsu steadied herself and fought Muzan, but his many whips overwhelmed her and left her badly wounded.
  • Chinatsu used Hinokami Kagura to hold Muzan back, then switched to Moon Breathing and struck him with three serrated crescent blades.
  • Zenitsu believed they could win, but Obanai urged everyone to stay ready while Muzan emerged unharmed from the smoke.
  • Chinatsu dodged Muzan's attack by a hair's breadth as the Ultimate Poison continued aging him, and Muzan unleashed all his whips at her.

Ch. 133Chinatsu's Trump Card

Chinatsu completed Tengen Uzui’s Musical Score and turned the fight against Muzan with Sun Breathing’s Thirteenth Form. Muzan unleashed a devastating shock wave as his trump card, swallowing the battlefield in white light.

  • Muzan’s second barrage wounded Chinatsu, while Sanemi Shinazugawa tried to rush in and Tengen Uzui stopped him.
  • Gyomei Himejima noticed that fewer of Muzan’s attacks were striking Chinatsu as she analyzed their rhythm.
  • Chinatsu completed her Musical Score, blocked Muzan’s whips, and launched a counterattack.
  • Chinatsu switched to Hinokami Kagura and began cycling through the Sun Breathing forms to suppress Muzan.
  • Muzan feared defeat, then unleashed a powerful shock wave that filled the area with white light and lightning.

Ch. 134The Collapse of the Infinity Castle

Inosuke defeated Nakime in the collapsing Infinity Castle, and her death caused the entire structure to break apart and return to the original world. Inosuke fled through the ruins after his victory.

  • Muzan's shock wave shook the Infinity Castle and reached Nakime and Inosuke's battlefield.
  • Inosuke seized Nakime's momentary distraction, pierced her forehead with a thrown Nichirin Blade, and cut off her head.
  • Nakime recalled her life as a human musician and accepted her death as her body crumbled into dust.
  • Inosuke celebrated defeating Nakime, but stronger tremors interrupted him as the Infinity Castle began to collapse.
  • Inosuke ran and leapt through the crumbling castle as it returned from its alternate dimension to the original world.

Ch. 135Despair on a rainy night

After Muzan's shock wave left Chinatsu unable to move, Tanjiro and the others protected her and fought Muzan as dawn approached. Rain clouds threatened to delay the sunlight, and Chinatsu struggled against her paralysis while memories of her past and the Tsugikuni brothers resurfaced.

  • Muzan's shock wave struck Chinatsu and left her mind and body numb as the Infinity Castle collapsed.
  • Muzan tried to crush Chinatsu beneath a mass of wreckage, but Tanjiro and the others shattered it and confronted him.
  • Tanjiro vowed to protect Chinatsu, and the injured Demon Slayers charged Muzan, hoping to hold out until dawn.
  • Heavy rain darkened the sky, and Muzan rejoiced that the clouds might keep the sun from rising.
  • Chinatsu remained paralyzed on the ground, feared the others might sacrifice themselves by awakening their Demon Slayer Marks, and recalled her past and the Tsugikuni brothers.

Ch. 136Life flashing before her eyes

Chinatsu recovered from her life-flashing memories and returned to the battle as Muzan’s body weakened with age. She wounded him with a new Sun-Moon technique, and Muzan discovered that poison prevented him from escaping.

  • Mitsuri restrained one of Muzan’s Bone Whips, and Obanai Iguro blocked his attack on her.
  • Muzan realized he was aging, then unleashed a shock wave that knocked the Demon Slayers down and revealed his old scars from Yoriichi Tsugikuni.
  • Chinatsu overcame her paralysis and stood up as the others neared awakening their Demon Slayer Marks.
  • Chinatsu used Sun-Moon Style, First Form: Sun and Moon Shine Together, to slash Muzan from a distance.
  • Muzan tried to escape by exploding into chunks of flesh but found that poison prevented him from doing so.

Ch. 137Signs before dawn

Chinatsu used her Sun-Moon Style to overwhelm Muzan, then deliberately traded wounds to give the Demon Slayer Corps a chance to pin him with Bright Red Nichirin Swords. Muzan’s strength rapidly dwindled as dawn approached and the rain stopped.

  • Chinatsu anticipated Muzan’s Black Blood Brambles and countered his whips with Sun-Moon Style, First Form: Sun and Moon Shine Together.
  • Muzan unleashed a devastating shock wave, but Chinatsu evaded it and wounded him with Second Form: Sun and Moon Renewed Radiance.
  • Chinatsu and Muzan impaled each other, and Muzan believed his superior stamina would let him win the exchange.
  • Tanjiro and the other Demon Slayer Corps members surrounded Muzan and drove Bright Red Nichirin Swords into him.
  • Muzan’s strength rapidly fell as the swords heated inside his body, and his third shock wave failed to dislodge the blades.
  • Chinatsu kept her sword embedded in Muzan while the rain stopped and the clouds began to clear.

Ch. 138Rainbow

Chinatsu stopped Muzan from shielding himself and redirected his final attack into the sky, allowing the sunlight to burn him away. After confirming that everyone had survived, Chinatsu collapsed as the others gathered around her.

  • Muzan tried to cover his true body with growing flesh, but Chinatsu repeatedly cut it away and exposed him to the sun.
  • As Chinatsu neared her limit, Muzan charged a final attack and vowed to take her with him.
  • Chinatsu kicked Muzan's head upward, sending his attack into the sky and scattering the clouds.
  • Sunlight burned Muzan to dust, and a rainbow appeared as night gave way to morning.
  • Mitsuri embraced Obanai Iguro and celebrated the victory while Chinatsu confirmed everyone was alive.
  • Chinatsu collapsed from exhaustion, and the others rushed to her before she lost consciousness.

Ch. 139A Journey Through Hell

Muzan descended toward Avici Hell, consumed by hatred for Chinatsu and the Demon Slayer Corps, while Tsugikuni Michikatsu accepted his own punishment. After months of recovery at Corps Headquarters, Chinatsu finally awoke and said she was hungry.

  • Muzan passed through Hell, saw Gyokko and Hantengu, and continued toward Avici Hell.
  • Tsugikuni Michikatsu told Muzan that the hell he was in was not the one Muzan was bound for.
  • Muzan walked toward the gate of Avici Hell, still cursing Chinatsu despite not knowing her name.
  • At Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters, Chinatsu remained unconscious as the seasons changed and her companions waited for her to wake.
  • Chinatsu opened her eyes, put a hand over her empty stomach, and murmured that she was hungry.

Ch. 140Bestowed with the Name of [Pillar] (1)

After sleeping for a year following Muzan’s defeat, Chinatsu woke and reunited with Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps. Kagaya thanked her for saving him, then insisted she choose a [Pillar] title, leaving Chinatsu unsure what to call herself.

  • Tanjiro rushed to Chinatsu’s room and found her awake, then hurried off to get her food.
  • The Demon Slayer Corps gathered to celebrate Chinatsu’s awakening, and she devoured a feast while Mitsuri fed her apple.
  • Chinatsu learned she had slept for an entire year after fighting Muzan.
  • Kagaya and Amane arrived, and Kagaya thanked Chinatsu for saving him and ending the curse on his family.
  • Kagaya insisted that Chinatsu choose her [Pillar] title, and she worried over what name to pick.
