Just as the Amegakure ninja under Jiraiya's control stepped through a doorway,
the paper fluttering through the air suddenly swept toward him, surrounding him completely.
Sheets of paper clung to the Amegakure ninja, binding him. As they did, the paper gathered into Konan's form, and a Paper Spear appeared in her hand.
Just as Konan was about to deliver the killing blow, Jiraiya emerged from the shadow on the ground.

A fireball shot out, forcing Konan back.
The flames burned through a large amount of paper, sending up thick black smoke.
Jiraiya crawled out of the Amegakure ninja's shadow, and his body returned to normal.
The smoke cleared, and Konan appeared before Jiraiya unharmed.
