Ch. 141Mitsuri cried, Obanai arrived, and Genya was in trouble

Chiba Yo attended a Hashira Meeting that also invited powerful swordsmen, where Tanjiro and Genya joined the gathered Hashira. Genya apologized for failing a task, while Mitsuri grew upset when he avoided greeting her; Obanai arrived with dumplings.

  • Kagaya took hope from Chiba Yo’s belief that defeating Muzan might lift his curse and promised to hold on until the final battle.
  • Chiba Yo, Kyojuro, and Tanjiro gathered for the expanded Hashira Meeting, and Chiba Yo explained that strong swordsmen had also been invited.

  • Chiba Yo explained that Genya struggled to deal with girls and pointed out Obanai nearby with a large bag of dumplings.

Ch. 142Sanemi the tsundere

Mitsuri’s misunderstanding about Genya made Obanai confront him, but Sanemi stepped in to protect his younger brother. Sanemi denied that he cared for Genya, leaving the others amused as everyone turned to Mitsuri.

  • Obanai brought Mitsuri a bag of dango, and she eagerly ate it after thanking him.
  • Obanai asked Mitsuri who had upset her, and she said Genya’s silence had made her think he hated her.
  • Obanai moved to confront Genya, but Sanemi arrived and knocked his hand aside to shield his brother.
  • Chiba Yo explained that Genya had been too nervous to speak to Mitsuri and that Genya and the others were there on the Master’s orders.
  • Obanai teased Sanemi for protecting Genya after claiming he had no brother, and Sanemi insisted he had only stopped Obanai from bullying a lower-ranking swordsman.
  • Mitsuri laughed at Sanemi’s explanation, drawing everyone’s attention.

Ch. 143Words from the heart / Reunion

Genya poured out his feelings to Sanemi, who acknowledged him as his brother but still insisted on protecting him. The reunion was interrupted when Sanemi confronted Giyu, and Tanjiro tried to stop them from fighting.

  • Mitsuri cried out over the brothers' reconciliation, and both Sanemi and Genya blushed when they realized everyone had been watching.
  • Giyu entered, and Sanemi confronted him about arriving late to patrol, prompting Tanjiro to rush in and warn them that the Corps rules forbade fighting.
  • Giyu told Sanemi he did not look down on him and that his strength was different from Sanemi's.

Ch. 144Sanemi's nightmare

  • Giyu said his strength was different from the others, prompting Sanemi to attack him and Genya to kick him back.
  • Tanjiro stepped between Sanemi and Giyu, defended Giyu's intentions, and challenged Sanemi over stabbing Nezuko.

Ch. 145The meeting began

Amane Ubuyashiki told the assembled Demon Slayer Corps that Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s condition had worsened and that preparations for the final battle against Muzan should begin. The Hashira learned that Muzan’s location would be found by others and that the remaining Upper Ranks were Two and Three, while Kagaya refused to assign Hashira to guard him.

  • Sanemi knocked Tanjiro unconscious during his argument with Giyu, then returned to attend the meeting as Tanjiro regained consciousness.

  • Zenitsu told Chiba Yo that he had not seen Kaigaku recently and asked whether Chiba Yo knew where he was.

Ch. 147Revealing the Truth

Chiba Yo told Zenitsu that he had killed Kaigaku after Kaigaku became Upper Rank Six and slaughtered a village, and explained why the truth had to be kept from Jigoro Kuwajima. Zenitsu resolved to train for the coming final battle, while Tamayo and Yushiro followed Muzan’s blood through the night.
