When Song Ning woke again, she was in a quiet cabin aboard a ship.
She stared at the white ceiling for a long moment before abruptly sitting up.

Only then did she notice that the wound on her left wrist had been treated and carefully bandaged.
Turning her head, she spotted a white sailor's cap hanging on a rack nearby, with a small red star on it.

Someone gently opened the cabin door. Chen Liang poked his head in and, seeing that she was awake, let out a relieved breath.

With that, he turned and left.
Soon, he returned carrying a tray.
"Here's some hot porridge and steamed buns. Have something to eat first."
