The Hero Association Headquarters Fortress.
That day, a group of underworld figures arrived at the headquarters fortress.
They had not come to wreck the place, however, but to answer the Hero Association's call.
"I am Sitch, appointed by the Hero Association to lead the 'Earth Is Doomed Prophecy Emergency Response Team.'"
Standing on the stage, Sitch addressed the many underworld figures below. "I never imagined all of you would actually come. Thank you very much for answering our call. Many of you here are wanted criminals... Your presence must mean you're confident you won't be arrested, correct?"
"First, we won't inquire into your criminal records, nor do we care about your status as wanted criminals. This is not a trap, so you can listen to what I have to say without concern."
"Although a few heroes are present, please don't mind them. As long as you don't do anything extreme, they won't take action against you."
Sitch delivered those words with a grave expression.
None of the underworld figures before him looked like anyone to trifle with. Almost all of them had criminal records, yet they had still dared to accept an invitation to the Hero Association headquarters.
Under normal circumstances, doing so would have been no different from turning themselves in. Yet they all seemed confident in their abilities, unconcerned about whether the Hero Association had set a trap.
Most looked flippant and careless, standing in casual postures with calm expressions as they stared at Sitch with hostile eyes.
Some sat on the floor, some lounged on their sides, and some even openly declared that they would slaughter the heroes present.
"Heroes? Looks like I came at just the right time. I've wanted to try hunting heroes for ages! Yahahaha-"
