Roris first crouched down and reached out to stroke Kitty's head.
"Meow~"
Kitty offered no resistance at all, no longer displaying that ferocious, berserk appearance from before.
Perhaps the beating Bai Ye had given Kitty had brought the cat into line, or perhaps Kitty simply treated different people differently.
Although Roris was an alien, she was still much better than that rough-handed female version of Puri-Puri Prisoner. It was hard to blame Hajimi for treating them differently.
"You want to adopt this cat?"
Seeing this, Bai Ye asked Roris.
"Yes."
Roris nodded. "Since I can't leave for now, I might as well keep this cat as a pet while I'm on Earth."
"That's fine, but once you adopt a pet, you can't just abandon it whenever you feel like it."
Bai Ye made that clear to Roris.
"Oh..."
Roris hesitated for a moment. "All right, then. Though taking Kitty aboard the Spaceship when the time comes will be quite a hassle..."
"As long as you take proper responsibility."
Bai Ye said.
"No problem."
Roris readily agreed.
"Let's go."
Then Bai Ye made a "come here" gesture at Kitty.
Kitty was quite clever, apparently understanding Bai Ye's meaning right away, and leaped straight into his hand.
"You're pretty well-behaved after all. As long as you keep behaving like this, I won't do anything else to you."
Bai Ye told Kitty.
"Meow~"
Kitty meowed in response, presumably agreeing with Bai Ye.
Then Bai Ye held Kitty in one arm and placed his other hand on Roris's shoulder.
Using the Flying Thunder God Technique, he returned to Z City's No Man's Land the next instant, bringing an alien and a cat along with him.
"This is the building I live in. Just pick any apartment in this building or somewhere nearby."
Bai Ye
