"Lord Hyōrinmaru, terrible news! I saw Sesshomaru enter Dog Castle with Evil Sword Smith. That bastard Evil Sword Smith has betrayed us!"
Just then, another figure rushed over and knelt to report the latest intelligence.
"What!? What is going on now!?"
Hyōrinmaru's eyes nearly bulged from their sockets. His demon power roiled wildly, like a volcano about to erupt, almost beyond his control.
"Our brothers keeping watch saw Sesshomaru enter Dog Castle, with Evil Sword Smith following respectfully behind him. Sesshomaru hasn't lost his mind at all!"
Under Hyōrinmaru's stare, the member of the Ice Wolf People trembled all over. Despite the pressure, he barely managed to explain everything.
"Well played, Demon Wolf Mingye! Well played, Sesshomaru!"
Hyōrinmaru laughed in fury, but his smile looked utterly unnerving. His chest heaved and his body trembled. He was on the verge of exploding with rage.
Not a single step of his plan had succeeded. Not only had it cost him his two younger brothers and many of his people, but he had even helped supply the materials for the Evil Sword in Sesshomaru's hands.
All his scheming had only served his enemies. Such an outcome robbed the normally calm and composed Hyōrinmaru of all reason.
"All Ice Wolf Warriors, heed my command! Follow me and wipe out the Demon Wolves of Bluestone Mountain! A mere exiled branch dared commit such treachery. There is no reason to let them exist any longer!"
Hyōrinmaru issued his orders coldly. His primary target had been the Dog Tribe, yet both his younger brothers had fallen to that Demon Wolf branch he had never taken seriously.
"My lord, should we keep watching Dog Castle?"
An Ice Wolf asked the question.
