Inside Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong sat with dignified elegance and told Cao De, who stood below her, "There's nothing else. You may go."
Having enjoyed quite a show, Cao De was in an excellent mood. It seemed Bibi Dong wasn't a lovesick fool after all. Confirming that left him thoroughly delighted.
"Teacher, I'll be leaving, then." Smiling, Cao De headed out of the Pope's Palace.
"Wait!" Bibi Dong's voice sounded behind him.
Cao De turned in confusion, and a token flew toward him.
"This is a Pope Token. It grants you certain privileges at any Spirit Hall Branch. If you encounter danger, you can crush it." Bibi Dong's voice was cold, without a trace of emotion.
Bibi Dong didn't know why, but knowing Cao De was going out made her worry for his safety. She simply gave him the Pope Token.
Cao De smiled. "Thank you, Teacher."
"There's no need to thank me. This is a privilege you enjoy as my disciple." Bibi Dong's expression remained icy.
Cao De said nothing more and headed out of the Pope's Palace.
Bibi Dong watched Cao De's retreating figure, lost in unknown thoughts.
Cao De left Spirit Hall and headed toward the hotel Huo Wu had arranged beforehand.
A white-haired old man drifted down lightly in front of Cao De and said in an aged voice, "Our young master wishes to see you."
The Thousand-Blade Demon Sword appeared in Cao De's hand, and he asked, "Who is your young master?"
"Miss Huo Wu is waiting for you as well," the white-haired old man added.
Cao De frowned and quickly checked the Remote Sensing Mark in his mind, finding nothing amiss.
"That simp Feng Xiaotian wants to see me?" Cao De asked as he followed the old man.
The old man glanced at Cao De without speaking.
Cao De followed him to a secluded, dilapidated house.
Wearing a hat, Feng Xiaotian was waving both hands as he explained something to Huo Wu.
Seeing Cao De arrive, Huo Wu immediately sprinted over and threw herself into his arms.
"Master, are you all right?" Huo Wu's voice carried a hint of tears.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. Let me see if anyone bullied you." Cao De looked Huo Wu over.
"I'm fine. Feng Xiaotian said you were here, Master, and that he was going to bully you. I was worried, so I came with him." Huo Wu's voice grew quieter as she spoke.
Looking at the situation, he could tell she had been tricked.
"Good girl." Cao De stroked Huo Wu's head.
As the two continued their exchange, Feng Xiaotian's face turned black as the bottom of a pot, and he roared angrily.
"Huo Wu, I'll show you his true colors right now!"
Huo Wu was about to attack, but Cao De stopped her.
Looking at this upgraded version of the ultimate simp, Cao De crooked a finger at Feng Xiaotian in blatant provocation.
Three Soul Rings appeared around Feng Xiaotian, along with the phantom of a Gale Twin-Headed Wolf.
"First Soul Skill: Gale Thrust!" Green light swirled around Feng Xiaotian as he lunged at Cao De.
"Master!" Seeing that Cao De still hadn't moved, Huo Wu cried out anxiously and tried to help.
But the white-haired old man beside her stopped her. "Miss Huo Wu, this is the young master's match. Do not interfere."
Cao De waved at Huo Wu behind him, signaling that she needn't worry.
He had already raised his Martial Soul, the Thousand-Blade Demon Sword, and met Feng Xiaotian's first Soul Skill head-on.
Cao De staggered backward several steps before steadying himself.
Feng Xiaotian folded his arms across his chest and sneered, "With that paltry strength, how are you worthy of being by Huo Wu's side?"
Cao De shook out his slightly numb arm and smiled. "Keep going."
Feng Xiaotian sneered. "I'll make you face reality!"
"Second Soul Skill: Gale Blade!"
Green light instantly wrapped around Feng Xiaotian's arms. With a swing, he sent two wind blades hurtling forward.
Unhurried, Cao De followed his earlier idea and activated the Great Sun Heart Method. His eyes instantly turned blood-red, and purple light swirled around the Thousand-Blade Demon Sword.
Bang!
Purple and green collided, sending Cao De flying backward. He performed a backflip in midair and only regained his footing after landing.
Still no good. The Soul Power conversion rate is too low. I can only unleash one percent of my Soul Power.
Holding the sword's hilt, Cao De shook his head with a bitter smile.
"With that pathetic strength, how dare you! Speak! How did you control Huo Wu? Otherwise, I won't mind turning you into a cripple!"
Feng Xiaotian's eyes were icy, and green light once again wrapped around his arms.
"Feng Xiaotian, just try touching my master! I'll twist your fucking head off!" Huo Wu stared daggers at Feng Xiaotian as Soul Rings appeared around her.
"Huo Wu, it's me, Xiaotian! Have you forgotten? Back at Kasco Academy, you gave me a bottle of water. You gave one to everyone in class, but I knew it was because you were too shy. Have you forgotten even that?"
Feng Xiaotian bellowed, hoping this would jog Huo Wu's memory.
"Dumbass. If you hurt my master, I'll never let you get away with it." Huo Wu's gaze was icy.
It must be Cao De controlling Huo Wu! Once Cao De dies, Huo Wu will regain her memories! The thought flashed through Feng Xiaotian's mind.
"Remember! My Huo Wu!" Feng Xiaotian shouted, sending wind blades straight toward Cao De's face.
At that moment, Soul Rings appeared around Cao De: purple, purple, black, black. The four rings radiated a soul-shaking glow.
While Feng Xiaotian was still reeling in shock, a streak of purple light instantly swelled before his eyes.
"Young master, watch out!" Six Soul Rings instantly appeared around the white-haired old man as he rushed toward Feng Xiaotian at top speed.
He shoved him aside.
Bang! Bang!
Two sounds rang out in succession.
One came from the purple light striking the house behind them, blasting it to pieces with a thunderous crash.
The other came from Feng Xiaotian's face hitting the wall.
Feng Xiaotian shook his head and stared at Cao De in terror, his voice trembling. "Mad Old Man, hurry! Kill him!"
The gray-haired Mad Old Man stared fixedly at Cao De, his eyes like a venomous snake's.
"Fifth Soul Skill: Wind's Extreme: Wind Kill!"
Hundreds of oversized wind blades appeared around the Mad Old Man and smashed down toward Cao De.
Facing the dense barrage, Cao De's expression didn't change at all. He uttered only one word: "Piercing!"
The Thousand-Blade Demon Sword in his hand instantly broke into thousands of fragments, dense as raindrops, shredding the wind blades in the air.
Thousands of Demon Blade Shards against a mere few hundred wind blades-it couldn't have been easier.
"Oh no!" the Mad Old Man cried out, then immediately shouted under his breath.
"Sixth Soul Skill: Wind's Extreme: Run Fast!"
The Mad Old Man instantly erupted with green light, its dazzling brilliance rivaling the sun.
Even Cao De had to narrow his eyes.
When the green light faded, the Mad Old Man and Feng Xiaotian were nowhere to be seen. Clearly, they had already fled far away.
Only a single sentence echoed through the air. "Boy, don't get too arrogant!"
"Master, are you all right?" Huo Wu immediately ran to Cao De's side.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." Cao De smiled and stroked Huo Wu's head.
"As long as you're all right, Master. Too bad those two escaped." Huo Wu puffed up with anger, thoroughly unhappy.
"Let's go get something to eat."
"Sure! I found several good restaurants."
Having just escaped, the Mad Old Man looked at Feng Xiaotian in his arms, blood still bubbling from his mouth, and hurriedly checked his injuries.
He turned Feng Xiaotian over. The back of his clothes was riddled with holes.
The Mad Old Man ripped the clothes open, revealing silver-white inner armor that was already covered in dents.
Feng Xiaotian spat out another mouthful of blood.
The Mad Old Man took out a medicinal pill and fed it to him, his eyes dark and unreadable.
Just as he had used his sixth Soul Skill, some of Cao De's Demon Blade Shards had still struck at him. He had simply grabbed Feng Xiaotian and used him as a human shield.
If the Dean found out, he would certainly die.
But what now? Feng Xiaotian can't die either. If he dies in my hands, the Dean will definitely make me join him in the grave.
There was only one option now: make Feng Xiaotian lose his memory!
In for a penny, in for a pound.
The Mad Old Man took a book out of his Storage Soul Tool. Its title was none other than "Hands-on Guide to Making Someone Lose Their Memory."
The author's name consisted of just two characters: Nuomi.
He wet his finger with saliva and turned to the first page.
Then he sank into thought.
Where is this Divine Court Acupoint?
