The general at the head of the group frowned, looked Yi Chen over, and muttered, "There really is something strange about you. You don't look like someone from our world... hmm? You're actually carrying a skeleton. Are you a grave robber?"
Yi Chen laughed. "You've misunderstood, sir. I'm a law-abiding citizen, certainly no grave robber." He deliberately drew out his words. "I merely left my home because of certain matters, lost my way for a while, and happened to pass through here. I'm not getting in the way of your duties, am I, gentlemen?"
The officer in charge gave Yi Chen a suspicious look, then waved a hand. "All right, in that case, get going. I'm warning you, don't stir up trouble, or else... heh heh, my sword doesn't slay nameless ghosts."
Yi Chen hastily agreed, then hurried away with the skeleton in his arms.
By the time night fell, Yi Chen had stood on a jutting rock, gazing out over the entire snowfield, for a full day. He murmured to himself, "Hmm, this place really is quite nice. Not only is the spiritual energy abundant, but the scenery is beautiful, and it's rather peaceful."
Yi Chen took out a garment and wrapped it around himself, casually found a large rock to sit on, and closed his eyes to rest.
An hour later, Yi Chen suddenly sensed an unusual fluctuation. He opened his eyes and peered in one direction. A dark figure flashed past roughly a kilometer away, moving with matchless speed. Yi Chen paused, then a faint smile curled at the corner of his mouth. "Impressive indeed. You can actually evade my spiritual perception? Heh heh, it's been a long time since I stretched my limbs." He sprang up and chased after the dark figure.
