"What exactly are you trying to do?"
Yun Xiaoran looked helplessly at Shen Jin, a trace of impatience showing in his bright eyes.
He rubbed his shoulder, grimacing as he did.
That woman had used a little too much force just now. She hadn't injured his shoulder by throwing him around, but it still hurt.
"Are you okay?"
Shen Jin sounded guilty and looked at Yun Xiaoran sheepishly.
Yun Xiaoran: "..."
Yun Xiaoran merely watched Shen Jin sitting on the bed in front of him without saying a word.
"I was just thinking, what if a stranger came in at night? As your wife, wouldn't I be in danger?"
Are you sure you'd be the one in danger, rather than the stranger?
Shen Jin's explanation left Yun Xiaoran utterly speechless.
Even he, with a build considered fairly tall in Korea, could be subdued by Shen Jin with ease, let alone those Koreans whose average height was only a hundred and sixty-something centimeters.
Shen Jin seemed to realize that her excuse didn't hold water.
"Anyway, let's just sleep together. Look, I'm perfectly comfortable sleeping with you, so why aren't you comfortable with me?"
"It's not that I don't trust you. It's because of this agreement."
Yun Xiaoran sat firmly in place and gestured with his chin toward the agreement.
"Since we're bringing this agreement up, I think I need to reassess our relationship, too."
Shen Jin's heart clenched when she heard that.
"What do you mean, reassess our relationship? Aren't we husband and wife?"
"Husband and wife?"
Hearing those words made Yun Xiaoran feel bad, too. He felt as though he were acting like one of those heartless scumbags.
"If you don't like that agreement, I can... tear it up, or throw it away, or flush it down the toilet."
