The next morning.
Exhausted from overexertion, Shen Jin slept soundly in Yun Xiaoran's arms. Even in his sleep, he had kept one arm wrapped around her waist, though she looked rather melancholy as she slept.
There was no smile on her lips, nor did she look particularly happy. Every so often, she shifted and unconsciously nuzzled her head against Yun Xiaoran.
Her eyelashes fluttered as she slowly opened her beautiful eyes. The first thing she did was look at Yun Xiaoran, who was sleeping soundly beside her.
Only then did Shen Jin finally smile. She hugged him tightly, changed positions, and drifted back into a deep sleep.
Yun Xiaoran, however, woke up. Seeing how peacefully she slept beside him, he checked his phone and discovered it was already quite late-nine thirty.
That really did take a lot of energy...
He chuckled as he watched Shen Jin sleeping with her arms around him. The girl was actually sleeping in, which meant she still hadn't recovered.
"Honey?"
Yun Xiaoran gently played with her face, giving her cheeks little pinches as he called to her.
"What is it, honey? I'm so tired. I want to sleep."
Shen Jin mumbled and wriggled a couple of times. Despite her reluctance, she sounded adorable.
"Time to get up. It's almost ten already."
Only after hearing that did Shen Jin slowly open her eyes. She was so exhausted that her whole body felt as though it had fallen apart, and one particular spot hurt terribly. It was practically like walking on knives.
Shen Jin wasn't exaggerating in the slightest.
Soon, Shen Jin got out of bed first. She went straight to the bathroom and happily began taking a shower. Her mind was still a little dazed; everything that had happened last night felt like a dream.
