After dinner.
Yun Xiaoran and Shen Jin took a leisurely walk downstairs. Yun Xiaoran kept drifting toward and away from her, sometimes getting too close and sometimes straying too far.
Watching Yun Xiaoran hover at such an uncertain distance, Shen Jin grew so anxious she hardly knew what to do.
I have to find a way to hold his hand, right?
Will he say no, or pull away from me?
Shen Jin was really overthinking things.
After all, they had already painstakingly caressed every inch of each other's skin.
Surely he would not get angry just because she touched his hand?
Yet for some reason, Shen Jin still felt terribly nervous and did not dare ask Yun Xiaoran outright.
As Shen Jin hesitated, lightly biting her lip and looking up at Yun Xiaoran as he walked, a familiar sensation suddenly reached her. She snapped back to her senses and realized that Yun Xiaoran had taken her hand of his own accord.
Yun Xiaoran, on the other hand, was no longer as nervous as before. After all, they had already slept together. Surely they could hold hands?
Shen Jin's hand was smooth, delicate, and slender. Yun Xiaoran's larger hand easily enveloped hers without leaving a single gap.
After taking her hand, Yun Xiaoran looked at Shen Jin and said:
"What's wrong? Are you not used to it? If you aren't, I'll let go."
"I am. Of course I am."
Shen Jin gave a soft laugh, her lips curling upward. Her eyes were as alluring as a river in spring.
Hearing Yun Xiaoran's words, Shen Jin hurriedly responded with her hand, finding room for herself within that tiny space.
