It's Perfectly Normal for the Mighty Thunder God to Treat Wounds with Salad Dressing, Right?
Panting, Zoe picked up the grenades and ammunition from the belts of the two soldiers on the floor and continued climbing the stairs. Just before she reached the third floor, she threw every grenade she had collected ahead of her.
After a series of explosions, Zoe sprinted up to the fourth floor, only to be greeted by a dense barrage of gunfire. Over a hundred bullets poured toward her at once. Panting, she waited for an opening.
Hearing movement on the third floor below, Zoe immediately shot and killed three soldiers who had come to reinforce the others, but two bullets from a submachine gun downstairs still struck her in the waist.
"Ugh..." Zoe clutched her abdomen, the pain unbearable.
All she was doing now was struggling against death. By this point, the apartment building must have been completely surrounded. The Mid-East tanks had gone this long without firing only because they were wary of hitting their soldiers inside, or because they wanted to take her alive.

Zoe also rushed toward the door facing the corridor, pushing the living room sofa and cabinets against it.
Once she had finished, Zoe slumped onto the floor, gasping for breath.
"Dad, Philia, I don't think I'm coming home... I'm sorry..."
Blood trickled from the corner of Zoe's mouth as tears filled her eyes. Hugging her knees, she could think of nothing but Mogwin's and Philia's faces. Her stomach and liver had both been damaged, and she had no idea how much longer she could hold on.
Just then, a series of noises came from the bedroom.
