When everyone came to their senses, they saw Petra holding Levi tightly. His face was deathly pale, and one of his eyes had burst.
Levi was terribly weak, trembling as he leaned against Petra.
"Levi!" Hange cried anxiously and immediately hurried over to examine him.
"Levi, your eye..." Mike was at a loss for words.
"He's severely short of blood. Levi must have saved us by forcing his body beyond its limits. It's another way of using Titan power, just like Erwin's. Levi needs an emergency blood transfusion now." Hange looked utterly grim.
"How do we do that? Take my blood!"
"I can give mine too!"
"Let me!"
Oruo, Gunther, and Elderdin were the first to respond.
"This is Marleyan medical technology. We don't have it, so we'll have to rely on Hizuru. Levi, can you hold on for a day?" Hange asked, looking at him.
Levi gestured that he could.
Boom! Nearby, the Colossal Titan Erwin had transformed into was terribly shriveled, almost nothing but a skeleton. It suddenly collapsed, releasing enormous clouds of steam.
"Hange... check on Erwin... nothing can happen to him..." Levi said weakly.
"Stop talking, Levi. Mike's already gone to him," Hange said.
Soon, Mike carried the bare-chested Erwin over to Hange.
Hange told Moblit to count everyone. He quickly counted forty-five survivors. Only five soldiers had died in Erwin's explosion.
"Our old squad leader Nile died..." Armin's lips trembled, grief overwhelming him.
"Dennis... Dennis... damn it!" Jean sat on the ground, clutching his head and sobbing.
"When we first joined the Survey Corps, it was our seniors who died. Then we became the main force, and Marco died. Now we're the seniors, and it's our juniors dying. I survived again, Marco..."
"Jean..." Connie and Sasha felt awful seeing him like this.
"How is Levi?"
