The assassin was now drenched in blood. It soaked her loose clothing, outlining her feminine curves, and a third of her mask had been blasted away, revealing one side of a finely sculpted face.
Zoe had taken multiple hits to her shoulder, waist, abdomen, upper thigh, and calf. She was already on her last legs.
"A... woman?" Jean froze.
"A disguise mask? Is this Angel? But wasn't Angel already dead?" Sasha exclaimed in shock.
"A disguise mask could also be given to his companions. In fact, all of them could disguise themselves with Angel's help," Armin reasoned.
This Marley Agent had killed so many of their comrades that even the kindhearted members of the 104th Cadet Corps felt no pity for her now.
"I'm the Dusk you've been looking for..." Zoe removed the larger remaining piece of her mask and sat cross-legged on the ground, utterly drained.
Hange and Floch both froze in shock when they saw Zoe's face.
Yasuo was so stunned that he forgot to cover Philia's eyes.
When Philia saw Zoe's face, terrible pain spread from her heart, and her tears burst forth at once. "Sis!!"
Hearing that cry, Zoe turned her head away. Tears slid down through the blood on her face. Her anguish and torment had already eclipsed her physical pain. She could not acknowledge Philia; she was afraid the extremists in the Survey Corps would hurt her.
"You've mistaken me for someone else, little one. I only borrowed your sister's face." Zoe gave a faint smile, the blood and tears making the sight heart-wrenching.
"Miss Mogwin!" Hange cried in disbelief.
"How could this happen..." Hange's heart ached terribly. This was her benefactor's daughter. She had promised to fulfill Professor Mogwin's dying wish, but she had never imagined Zoe would be a Marley Codename Agent.
