It was then that Bai Yu spotted Levi and the others ahead of him. They seemed to be testing weapons and equipment at the Science Department and had happened to run into his group.
At the sight of the little girl in Bai Yu's arms, Levi's brow furrowed slightly in confusion. He had never seen her in the Survey Corps before.

Back at the dormitory, Xiate opened his room door for him. He tried to lay the little girl in his arms on the bed, but the moment he set her down, her brows suddenly knitted tightly together despite her peaceful sleep, and her body instinctively curled toward the corner.
Her eyes slowly opened, and she sat up wearily, rubbing them with her left hand. Still groggy, she saw Bai Yu about to leave and reached out with her right hand to catch his sleeve.
"Mm, big brother..."
Bai Yu looked at the now-awake little girl and patted her head.
"Go take a bath."
"Okay, but you promised you'd stay with me, big brother. You're not allowed to sneak away."
