Toward evening, Tobirama went out, making a special trip to the Nursery to pick up Tsunade after school.
With a flash of Flying Thunder God, Tobirama returned with three little brats in tow. Besides Tsunade, Jiraiya and Orochimaru had come along to mooch dinner.
Jiraiya went pale. The express trip by Flying Thunder God had left his stomach churning. He nearly threw up his lunch before he even got his free dinner.
Orochimaru looked at him worriedly. Like a doting mother, he took a mint from his pocket and handed it to Jiraiya, comforting him softly:
"Have a candy. You'll feel better."
Hashirama came over and patted Jiraiya's shoulder. Green Medical Ninjutsu chakra flashed, and Little Jiraiya was soon full of life again.
"Welcome home, Tsunade."
Hashirama crouched on the ground and spread his arms, welcoming his little granddaughter with a beaming smile.
"Grandpa, hug me!"
Like a sturdy little piglet, Tsunade charged straight at Hashirama, barreling toward him with all the momentum of a cannonball.
Hashirama caught her squarely and hugged his little granddaughter tight. After hefting her, he couldn't help muttering to himself-
Has Tsunade put on weight again lately? She feels heavier than last time.
Grandfather and granddaughter hugged each other excitedly. The doting old fool kept lifting her high and kissing her, making Tsunade giggle with delight.
They played together for a good while before Hashirama remembered Itama and hurried to introduce his little granddaughter:
"Look, my precious granddaughter!"
Hashirama proudly hoisted Tsunade up, showing her off to Itama with a cheerful grin.
"G-granddaughter?!"
Itama was completely stunned. His eyes widened in astonishment, disbelief written all over his face.
