Year 46 of Konoha, Uchiha Clan Compound.
Nine-year-old Obito Uchiha hid furtively beneath his blankets, shining a flashlight on the Ninjutsu scroll he had bought from Jiraiya at an exorbitant price and dreaming of putting Kakashi in his place.
"Hehe, this is a mysterious scroll that Jiraiya of the Sannin got from an Uzumaki master when he was little! Heh heh heh, all that pestering finally paid off!"

"Stupid Dad, get lost! Stop getting in my way!"
Obito paled in alarm. He hurriedly tossed the needles and thread aside, clung to the scroll, and began a tug-of-war with Uchiha Kazuma.
"I don't want to be like you! I'm going to be the Fourth Hokage!"
Not to be outdone, Kazuma shouted as he pulled:
"How dare you look down on the craft that made your dad rich!"
He angrily pointed at Obito's spacious, luxurious room, the rows of toys and dolls on his desk and bed, the television, the game console, and the pile of limited-edition Konoha Cards in the corner.
"Look at your room! Look at all this stuff! Then think about our family's shops all over
