The Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan Shuriken, wreathed in pitch-black flames, hurtled toward the back of the stone ape Momoshiki controlled. The name of this move was Scorch Release... that wasn't important!
Momoshiki was locked in a fierce exchange of ora-oras and muda-mudas with Chinatsu. He hadn't noticed a thing before the attack drew close, and by the time he did, it was already too late.
The instant Momoshiki sensed something approaching, he turned to look. Having detected it yet being utterly powerless to do anything, he wore an expression of despair so profound it was almost moving.
A... a sneak attack???
Boom!!!
Black flames blazed across Ape Rock's back. This attack could make even an incomplete Ten-Tails feel excruciating pain. The damage it inflicted on Ape Rock's completely unguarded back was easy to imagine.
Of course, that wasn't the biggest source of damage. That honor still belonged to Chinatsu.
How could she let the opening Naruto and Sasuke had created for her go to waste? Her ora-oras, previously held back by his muda-mudas, erupted at full force again, her palms slamming frantically into Ape Rock's front.
There was no way Ape Rock could withstand that barrage. Its enormous body rapidly fell apart before their eyes, and Momoshiki inside briefly lost consciousness. When he came to, Ape Rock had completely collapsed, and he was lying on the ground, aching all over.
I... lost?
I... lost?
I... couldn't possibly lose!
Lying on the ground, Momoshiki gritted his teeth and shouted at the sky, "Isshiki! Are you enjoying watching me make a fool of myself?! Why haven't you made your move?!"
Hearing Momoshiki's shout, Chinatsu froze. She had only just thought the battle was finally over.
Isshiki? Which Isshiki? Surely he didn't mean the Isshiki from Boruto: Naruto Next Generations...
A sense of foreboding
