After spending so many years with Chinatsu, Kaguya had failed to pick up much common sense, yet she had mastered many of Chinatsu's habits. Naturally, some bad habits had slipped in among them...
Look! Even the way she cracked sunflower seeds was just like Chinatsu.
Look! The way she crossed her legs, too...
Chinatsu was speechless at the sight of Kaguya, but rather than comment on that, she wanted to yell, "Kaguya! Save me a few bags of sunflower seeds!"
During the Sacrificial Ritual, Chinatsu could spare enough attention to talk to Kaguya, but forming another human body to snack on sunflower seeds was genuinely beyond her. If she could have done that, she would have made one to accompany Naruto and Sasuke back to the Land of Whirlpools long ago.
Chinatsu: Save me a few bags of sunflower seeds!
Kaguya: Tsk, tsk, tsk. No.
Chinatsu: You!
At a loss for words, Chinatsu could only put more effort into the Sacrificial Ritual. Kaguya couldn't help chuckling softly at the sight. As she continued cracking seeds, she reached for the shelf beside her, grabbed a few bags, and tucked them into her sleeve.
Time flew by. Twenty-eight days had passed since Chinatsu had stopped moving-just shy of a month.
Kaguya had eaten her way through every last snack in the shop behind her. Wearing sunglasses, she lay comfortably on a lounge chair, basking in the sun. She hadn't heard Chinatsu's voice for a whole day, but that didn't matter. She could sense that the Sacrificial Ritual had entered its final stage. Even if the Chinatsu statue beside her started moving the very next moment, Kaguya wouldn't have been surprised.
Kaguya lay on the lounge chair, enjoying this brief peace. She could feel it: before long, figures would fill the sky overhead.
