Ban was currently in Prison.
Diane was in that forest.
Finding Diane was as good as finding Gold.
As for Merlin and Gowther...
There was no need to search for those two at all.
Once they started taking action, those two would naturally show up.
As for Escanor... he was probably still hiding in the mountains, selling liquor!
