Under the stamping press's crushing blows, many ghouls burst straight into clouds of blood. Above them, Furuta Nimura clapped and cheered. "How bloody... but today has been hilarious... how are you all enjoying it?"
Suddenly, an explosion rang out, accompanied by a burst of flames.
The stamping machinery was destroyed, and a towering kakuja emerged from the center of the explosion. Its enormous frame resembled a mech as it loomed over Furuta Nimura and his companions.
"The meat pie was delicious... please give me another helping." The kakuja's first words left Furuta Nimura dumbfounded, reminding him of the meat filling he had made from Sen Takatsuki's editor a few days earlier.
"Uh-oh... I'm screwed..." Furuta Nimura swallowed and kept backing away.
"That Aizhina... what's she doing here?" Banjo stared upward in shock.
Sen Takatsuki swung her kakuja body, crushing a Special Class Investigator-level member of V with a single palm strike. Soon, only Furuta Nimura remained.
"All the Special Class-level V members are dead... I... let's talk this over. It seems we took the wrong entrance... please let me apologize..." Furuta Nimura's voice trembled as he took small steps backward, forcing a conciliatory smile.
"No need."
The kakuja answered coldly, its kagune thrusting repeatedly at Furuta Nimura.
"I knew it! Run!"
Furuta kept dodging the kagune's attacks, but in his frantic escape, he stumbled into a dead end.
With his back against the wall, Furuta Nimura began putting on an act. He pressed his hands together and dropped to his knees, his voice utterly abject. "I... I don't want to fight anymore! So let's settle this peacefully!"
As he spoke, Furuta Nimura revealed his kakugan. Three rinkaku appeared behind him and instantly pierced the kakuja's head, severing both of Sen Takatsuki's legs inside it and crippling one arm.
