"Human? How is that possible! You..." Banjō's brain had completely stopped keeping up. Every sign pointed to Ice Mask being a ghoul, but now his nose was telling him otherwise.
"I can vouch for that." Tsukiyama smiled and walked over.
"Whether it's the rising star everyone's been talking about lately, the masked S-Rank Ghoul wanted by the CCG, or the person standing before you, they're all the same person. And he's been human from the very beginning."
He took out a handkerchief and was about to bandage the wound, frightening Louis into hastily sealing it with Crystallization. "No need, Mr. Tsukiyama..."
"Human... how is that possible? Why didn't those people at Anteiku eat..." Banjō suddenly froze as he remembered something Rize had once said.
"There's a ghoul who likes humans at a café in Ward 20."
Rize had found that interesting back then, too, which was why she had chosen to come to Ward 20 after leaving Ward 11.
"So that's how it is..." Banjō figured a few things out, only for even more questions to come flooding in.
"Mr. Banjō, explaining it might take some effort, but my goal right now is to have you join my team. Once you join, I'll take the time to explain everything."
"For now, you still have time to consider your decision..." With that, Louis turned his gaze away from him. He had another objective today.
"Mr. Tsukiyama..." Louis formed his Ice Mask again and put it on, facing Tsukiyama the Gourmet head-on as cold air swirled around him.
"Hmm?" Tsukiyama paused. He had seen Louis fight; he usually started by filling the surroundings with cold air. But he didn't understand why Louis was doing it now.
