NERV Underground Fortress
Humanoid Rail
Looking utterly lost, Misato held her NERV map and searched for the way to the Command Room.
Shinji Ikari was absorbed in the confidential NERV booklet in his hands. He found much of its contents unbelievable.
A gigantic complex had been built underground, and he looked like an ant beside its structures.
The sight left Shinji Ikari deeply shaken.
Misato frowned in frustration. "This place really is complicated. This should be the way, right? Huang Zhetian took me this way before."
Shinji Ikari looked up from the confidential booklet at Misato and asked hesitantly, "Um, are we lost?"
Misato gave an embarrassed smile. "It's fine. If we wander around a little, we'll get there eventually."
Just as Misato ran out of ideas, Ritsuko Akagi was already waiting along the route they had to take.
When Misato spotted Ritsuko Akagi, she put on a cute smile, hoping to get away with it. Her terrible sense of direction had stretched a five-minute trip into more than ten.
If her staff hadn't called her, Ritsuko wouldn't have been waiting there.
After all, they had entered her work area.
Ritsuko Akagi had just hurried over from the Special Unit's hangar. As she left, another assistant had informed her that the parts needed to repair the Special Unit wouldn't arrive for another two weeks...
The news gave Ritsuko Akagi a headache. She was the person in charge of the E Project, and a delay like this would be hard to explain.
The European branch had clearly said the Special Unit's parts would arrive in a week. Why had that changed again?
Seeing Misato, Ritsuko Akagi said wearily, "You... honestly. You're always dragging your feet. When are you going to act like an adult? We're short-staffed and running out of time.
