The Pyramid had only one camera for gathering information from outside. It had just poked out and begun transmitting footage to the Command Room at Headquarters.

The footage showed the Power Angel just as it swallowed Unit-00.

After swallowing Unit-00, the Power Angel's lower half transformed into a woman's body. Clearly, it had absorbed Rei as well.

Ritsuko Akagi stared at the scene in horror. "What?! An Angel is eating an EVA! That's impossible!"

Ibuki jolted when the Angel's signal on the screen suddenly changed to Unit-00's. "This is strange! The target's identification signal has changed to Unit-00!"

Ritsuko Akagi looked down at the screen. The icon for the incoming Angel DNA signal had changed from blue to orange.

After a moment's thought, Misato realized they were in trouble!

"We've been played! Even if it enters Central Dogma now, the area won't detonate! It can reach Lilith without any trouble!"

When Ibuki saw an unidentified signal on the receiver, she sent the image to Aoba Shigeru and Hyuga. "I've detected a new signal here. Take a look!"

Hyuga entered the analysis code, but couldn't retrieve any information. "The new signal is unidentified! We can't analyze it!"

Aoba Shigeru saw an object radiating blue light appear on the screen.

"What is that?!"

Misato took a closer look, uncertain. "Its design looks a lot like the Special Unit..."

Ritsuko Akagi captured the image and enlarged it. "It looks similar, but it isn't the same. This doesn't look like an EVA design. It's closer to Europe's Jet Alone design."

Kozo Fuyutsuki said, "That machine is very suspicious..."
