The hundred-meter-tall Sealing Pillar stood a short distance behind the Arc de Triomphe. Farther away stood the Eiffel Tower, stained red by the L Barrier.
The sky was blue, but the land beneath it was entirely red.
Above the Sealing Pillar, eight warships hung suspended from the Wunder Warship high overhead. They formed an unopened flower bud, slowly rotating.

The eight warships slowly opened like petals, then spread out around the Sealing Pillar. Unit-08 had bandages wrapped around its chest and a wire-rig-like apparatus attached to its upper body, likewise tethering it to the Wunder Warship overhead.
The Special Unit stood on the tip of the Eiffel Tower, a large battery pack on its back and a single-edged Greatsword in its hand.
Seeing Mari begin moving, Apocalypse wasted no time either. The battery pack on his back folded apart several times, exposing a jetpack.
The jetpack could keep the Special Unit airborne for roughly three minutes. That brief window was already enough for Apocalypse to complete every task.
"All ships, transform into alert configuration!"

Here, DSRV stood for Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle.
Its appearance and operating principles were no different from real-world water rescue craft. It escorted researchers such as Ritsuko Akagi onto the Sealing Pillar to activate the Anti-L System.
