The entire arena froze for an instant.

Every sound-the swirling dust beneath the platform, the heavy breathing in the stands, even the hiss of air scorched by the blazing sun overhead-seemed to have been abruptly erased by an invisible giant hand.

Countless gazes clung to the colossal thing that had erupted into the air. Deep within their pupils were reflected its twisted, tangled purple-black body, the immense shadows of leaves swaying like giant kelp in an ocean abyss, and the curse runes flowing deep within its veins like molten gold.

The air congealed. Time, too, stopped for an instant amid the mingled auras of bitter cold, deathly stillness, and stellar annihilation breathed out by the enormous vine.

"...What?" Someone in the front row squeezed the trembling word through clenched teeth.

The deathly silence was promptly torn apart by a tsunami of voices!

"Twin martial souls?! Her second martial soul!" A shrill voice sliced through the air, ragged with disbelief.

"This pressure...!" Someone abruptly clutched his chest, his voice distorted by sheer terror. "That terrifying surge of air as those vines swept past... no ordinary soul skill could produce a field like this!"

"Life... healing?" Another spectator's throat tightened as he stared at the vine looming over the platform like a monster from the ocean depths. "I knew it-a fourteen-year-old healing Soul King... so she didn't build all that strength on her first martial soul, the Life Vine?!"

"Ten thousand years? Far beyond ten thousand!" A veteran nearest the betting table sprang to his feet, oblivious to the wine jug he knocked over beside them. His eyes remained fixed on the faint scorch marks left where the vines' edges tore through the air.
