The next day, June 25, dawn in Chenlin Village was as lovely as a painting, as lyrical as a poem.
Sunlight spilled over the streets of the fourth ring, the Village-Circling Road, gilding them with a golden sheen.
Zhu Hanshu left home in high spirits and strolled along the Village-Circling Road toward the Ancestral Hall on Blueheart Mountain.
His steps were light yet firm, as though each one fell in time with the rhythm of life.
"Morning, Grandpa Han Shu!" A lively voice rang out behind him. Zhu Hanshu turned and saw Ma Wenyu, that exuberant young man from the Ma Family. Sweat covered his head, and he was breathing hard, clearly still in the middle of his morning run.
"Wen Yi, you're back! Still running at this hour? You certainly have plenty of energy. What lap are you on?" Zhu Hanshu asked with a smile.
Ma Wenyu smiled and wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Seventeen, Grandpa Han Shu. If I don't run every day, I feel uncomfortable all over."
Zhu Hanshu nodded approvingly. "It's good to be young, brimming with energy. Come to think of it, you're nineteen now, aren't you?"
Ma Wenyu nodded with a happy smile. "Yes, Grandpa Han Shu. I've graduated from the Exotic Beast Academy's intermediate division, and I even received an early admission letter from the advanced division. Cheng Tai and Ming Sheng both got in too."
Delighted, Zhu Hanshu patted Ma Wenyu on the shoulder. "Well done! All the effort your grandfather put into raising you hasn't gone to waste. What's your soul power level now?"
Ma Wenyu smiled faintly. "I just broke through to Soul Ancestor. I'm level 41 now."
