  • Lelouch told Rolo to join the mission, discover its purpose, and use his judgment if necessary.
  • Lelouch suspected the operation concerned the Geass Order and considered whether Diethard or Empress Kaguya had issued the orders.
  • Rolo left Ashford Academy for the meeting point after telling Milly he was unwell, and Milly called someone to report his departure.

Ch. 112War breaks out

Ask prepared Area 11 as a battlefield and lured Charles’s fleet toward it while his allies dealt with political unrest in the Chinese Federation. After Charles confirmed that V.V and C.C were with Ask, Ask ordered the enemy fleet into the Tokyo Settlement so his forces could trap and destroy it.

  • Ask had resources from the EU brought to Area 11 and prepared to use himself as bait for Charles’s forces.
  • Jeremiah told Ask that the emperor’s fleet was approaching, while Leila reported that Schneizel had allied with the Black Knights and Li Xingke was handling the Grand Eunuchs.

  • Cornelia and Gilbert led the royal guard out of the buildings on the flank.

Ch. 114The Second Tokyo Decisive Battle (2)

  • Cornelia fired explosive rounds at the Galahad, giving Suzaku a chance to escape the sword strike and kick Bismarck away.
  • Bismarck turned to attack Cornelia, while Ask watched and remarked on Bismarck's skill and Excalibur.

Ch. 117The Second Tokyo Decisive Battle (5)

A furious Ohgi tried to turn the Ikaruga’s weapons on Ashford Academy, but Jeremiah’s arrival and praise for Kaguya left the Black Knights surrounded.

  • Schneizel ordered the Avalon to withdraw, and Kaguya used the retreat as a pretext to pull the Ikaruga out of the battlefield.
  • Artoria Alter fired the Freyja warhead on Ask’s order, destroying the Tokyo Settlement and killing everyone caught in its blast, including Tōdō and the Four Holy Swords.
  • After the explosion, Ask detained Dorothea Ernst and Charles and discussed future governance with Schneizel and Li Xingke at Ashford Academy.
  • Ohgi ordered the Ikaruga to fire on Ashford Academy and flee to the Chinese Federation, but Kaguya stopped his men and refused to support him.
  • Ohgi accused Kaguya of betraying the Black Knights and raised his fist against her, but Jeremiah arrived with armed soldiers and told Kaguya that Ask would be pleased with her actions.

Ch. 119Threat

At Ashford Academy, Ask explained that he had only promised the Island Nation a Special XZ Zone, not a military role for the Black Knights, and singled out its terrorists for elimination. Aboard the Ikaruga, Kaguya sided with Britannia as Jeremiah executed Ohgi and other opponents, then threatened the surviving Black Knights into obedience.

  • Ask told Schneizel and Li Xingke that his promise covered only the Special XZ Zone and that terrorists in the Black Knights were another matter.
  • Aboard the Ikaruga, the Black Knights realized Kaguya had sided with Britannia when she thanked Jeremiah for rescuing her.
  • Jeremiah declared that Tōdō, the Four Holy Swords, and Ohgi had died in battle, then shot Ohgi.
  • At Jeremiah's signal, Britannian soldiers killed Ohgi's longtime followers and others Kaguya had marked as traitors.
  • Jeremiah ordered the surviving Black Knights to obey Kaguya and help build the Special XZ Zone, threatening them with the same fate if they resisted.

Ch. 120Disposition

After the battle, Cornelia went to the EU to see Euphemia under Ask’s watch, while Suzaku brought Lelouch to face his older brother. Ask offered Lelouch a choice between forgetting his time as Zero and living under surveillance with Nunnally, or remaining imprisoned; Lelouch considered the offer as Ask activated his geass.

  • Cornelia told Ask she was going to the EU to see Euphemia, and he arranged for her to stay there under his supervision.
  • Suzaku brought the exhausted Lelouch to Ask, who said Nunnally had returned home with Ossidius and that Emperor Charles would be publicly executed after Ask took the throne.
  • Lelouch admitted that Ask had outmaneuvered him through superior information and asked whether Ask intended to execute him too.
  • Ask offered Lelouch a life with Nunnally if he forgot being Zero and possessing geass, or indefinite imprisonment if he refused.
  • Lelouch chose Nunnally over keeping his memories, and Ask activated his geass.
