Arc 1Purging the Northern Army

Lin Cuo used his appointment and the High Eunuchs’ trust to purge corruption in the Northern Army, restore its equipment, and begin forging alliances before the BETA invasion. He reopened contact with resistance groups and secured Takemi Tae’s treatment of Li Xingke, whose recovery strengthened Jiang Lihua’s faction.

  • Lin Cuo chose the Great Han Federation, became Jiang Lihua’s fiancé and acting Commandant of the Guards, and learned the BETA would invade the Anxi-Kashgar sector in 180 days.
  • Lin Cuo won Jiang Lihua’s approval to give Li Xingke authority over training and emergency military contact, then used inherited troops to expose the Western Garden Army’s shortages and corrupt funding.
  • Lin Cuo froze the Lin estate’s military-pay notes, sold family luxuries, and used the proceeds to gain Zhao Hao’s support and appointment as acting Northern Army Zhonghou.
  • Lin Cuo ordered audits, detained and suspended officers, and secured Northern Army offices, records, and weapons, while Jiang Lihua barred unauthorized killings and collective punishment.
  • Lin Cuo financed Gao Hai factories and a research institute, standardized components, and restored deployable machines while paying overdue wages and bringing former staff back.
  • Lin Cuo promised Jiang Lihua an outing and a chance to see a Gao Hai, then sent Cao Yuanming a proposal that reopened Liaodong contact with Area 11’s resistance groups.
  • Lin Cuo forced Li Xingke to undergo an examination, and Takemi Tae treated him with an experimental procedure that cured his illness and required a month of rest.

Arc 2The Lord Regent’s Campaigns

Lin Cuo helped Jiang Lihua overthrow the Chief Eunuchs, consolidate Great Han’s military, and forge alliances with Area 11 and India while preparing for the BETA threat. The arc left Li Xingke leading a new campaign in Nanyang as Great Han began restoring its common defense order.

  • Lin Cuo exposed the Chief Eunuchs’ forced marriage scheme at the East Sea Peace Conference, and Jiang Lihua publicly refused the match as Li Xingke’s forces moved against the regents.
  • Lin Cuo killed Zhao Hao and led the purge of the Chief Eunuchs, while Li Xingke defeated Britannian forces and crushed resistance across Luoyang.
  • Lin Cuo selected the system’s Pacify the Interior path, then learned that BETA forces had entered the solar system and were building a route toward Earth.
  • Lin Cuo recognized Area 11’s sovereignty and negotiated its role in a United Blue Star Government, earning Kallen’s greater trust and securing support from Kaguya Sumeragi and the Kyoto Houses.
  • Li Xingke led campaigns that brought Longyou, Qinghai, and the North Sea under central control, then helped shape Great Han’s military doctrine and combined-arms strategy.
  • Lin Cuo and Li Xingke agreed on limits to emergency powers and measures for oversight, while Jiang Lihua called on them to restore order and return their authority to her afterward.
  • Lin Cuo negotiated India’s autonomy and military-industrial agreements, and Kallen successfully tested the Guren Shen Hu designed for her piloting style.
  • Charles and V.V. backed unrest in Nanyang, so Lin Cuo sent Li Xingke south to lead the Nanyang Front Army as Great Han restored railways, factories, medical services, and local armies.
