Ch. 121Sky Island Control

Nova befriended the young Enel and planned to cultivate his talent for his country. Meanwhile, Junhe and Abona brought Gan Fall to the Divine Palace and revealed that Tru Kingdom intended to take control of Sky Island, leaving Gan Fall to await further talks with Nova.

  • Nova reflected on Enel’s lonely childhood and decided to nurture him after their first day together.
  • Junhe, Abona, and their guards escorted Gan Fall to the Divine Palace, where Abona used Observation Haki to check for danger.
  • Gan Fall asked the newcomers not to harm Sky Island’s people and pressed them to explain why they had come.
  • Abona told Gan Fall that they intended to take over Sky Island’s administration.
  • Junhe promised there would be no immediate harm and said Nova would discuss Sky Island’s future with Gan Fall the next day.

Ch. 122Sky Island's Fruit

After Gan Fall kept the Priests calm overnight, Nova woke on Sky Island and shared a meal with Enel. Enel hurried to finish the wild fruit Nova had promised to take him somewhere, and they set off together.

  • Gan Fall told the Priests to follow the newcomers' instructions and promised to explain the situation the next day.
  • Junhe ordered his men to rest in shifts while Gan Fall gathered the Priests to settle them.
  • Nova woke to find Enel had brought wild fruit from the sacred land.
  • Nova reassured Enel that he would make sure he ate well, though he disliked the sour apples.
  • Enel ate most of the fruit and offered the last apples to Nova before they prepared to leave.

Ch. 123God's Shrine on Sky Island

Nova took Enel toward God's Shrine and encouraged him to become strong so he could protect what mattered to him. After Nova instantly brought Enel to the shrine's entrance, two Shandia men searched the spot where they had vanished and discussed the people from the Blue Sea staying at God's Shrine.

  • Enel told Nova that he knew God's Shrine and described it as the largest place on Sky Island.
  • Nova asked Enel whether he wanted to become strong, and Enel vowed to help Nova in the future.
  • Enel led Nova to the forest's edge and warned him about traps set by the Shandia people.
  • Nova grabbed Enel and instantly transported them to God's Shrine, just as Wipper and Brahm rushed into the place they had been standing.
  • Wipper told Brahm that a group from the Blue Sea had arrived at God's Shrine, and the two men considered leaving before the Priests returned.

Ch. 124Gan Fall's Question

Nova arrived at God's Shrine and met Gan Fall, who asked why people from the Blue Sea wanted control of Sky Island. Nova left Gan Fall's question unanswered as they began their discussion.

  • Nova entered God's Shrine with Enel and confirmed that Gan Fall and the Priests were inside and under Tru Kingdom supervision.
  • Nova found Gan Fall waiting after staying up all night, and Junhe reported that he had cooperated.
  • Nova noticed the Rumble-Rumble Fruit held by the shrine's statue and told the others to leave it there for future use.
  • Gan Fall asked Nova why people from the Blue Sea wanted control of Sky Island.

Ch. 125The Golden Land of Shandora

Nova negotiated the Tru Kingdom’s takeover of Sky Island by promising supplies, security, and mediation in its long-running conflict. Gan Fall accepted the terms and agreed to help administer the island as Nova ordered a survey of its territory and Shandora.

  • Nova offered Gan Fall continued authority and Tru Kingdom support in exchange for cooperation, including help ending the conflict between Sky Island’s residents and the Shandia people.
  • Gan Fall agreed to Nova’s terms but asked how he could be sure Nova could deliver; Nova told him to inform Sky Island’s native residents and said the future plans would be explained later.
  • Nova assigned Junhe three days to survey Sky Island, locate Shandora, assess land for development, and test whether island clouds could be turned into training grounds.
  • Nova asked Gan Fall to remain in his position and become an official of the Tru Kingdom, with the Priests continuing their duties; Gan Fall agreed to help manage the residents.

Ch. 126Task

Nova secured the Tru Kingdom’s administrative control over Sky Island and assigned Gan Fall, Abona, and Junhe tasks to stabilize and assess the island. Gan Fall announced the new rule, and the residents accepted the change with little resistance before returning to their usual lives.

  • Nova instructed Gan Fall to gather information on Sky Island’s residents, announce the Tru Kingdom’s authority, and report their reactions.
  • Nova ordered Abona to find the Shandia chief without provoking conflict and to capture rather than kill Sky Island’s enormous creatures.
  • Junhe, Gan Fall, and Abona accepted their assignments, and Junhe began surveying and mapping Sky Island.
  • Gan Fall and the Priests and police collected residents’ information and announced the change in rule across Sky Island.
  • The residents learned that Sky Island had about eight thousand native people, showed little resistance, and returned to ordinary life after two days.

Ch. 127Shandia's Stronghold

Junhe and his men surveyed Sky Island while searching for the golden ancient capital of Shandora, and Abona led a separate group to find the Shandia people. Abona reached their hidden territory and asked Wipper to take him to their chieftain.

  • Junhe told the King's Guard that Shandora was said to be an ancient city made entirely of gold, spurring his men to hurry their survey.
  • Abona used Observation Haki to locate the Shandia stronghold and led five or six guards toward it to negotiate.
  • Abona sensed that only around two hundred Shandia people lived in the area and told his guards to follow his lead.
  • Abona's group reached the outskirts of the Shandia territory, where Wipper and several armed Shandia confronted them.
  • Abona calmly told Wipper that he needed to see the Shandia chieftain.

Ch. 128Skypiea Tribe

Abona met Wipper and the Shandia people to deliver the Tru Kingdom’s offer to mediate a peaceful coexistence with Angel Island. After demonstrating his group’s overwhelming strength, he was escorted to their settlement, where Wipper explained the Shandia’s determination to reclaim Upper Yard.

  • Abona slashed down trees with a single blow, and his guards smashed another tree to prove their strength to Wipper and the Shandia.
  • Abona told Wipper that the Tru Kingdom ruled Sky Island and that its king wanted to mediate between the Shandia and Angel Island.
  • Wipper lowered his group’s guard and led Abona and his men to the Shandia settlement.
  • As they walked through the settlement’s ruins, Wipper said the Shandia had lived on Upper Yard for generations and intended to reclaim it.
  • Abona observed that Wipper was popular among the Shandia and considered how the Tru Kingdom would take control of Upper Yard.

Ch. 129Communication and Coordination

Abona's group visited the Shandia chief to propose talks about peaceful coexistence with Angel Island, but the chief rejected negotiation and the tribe grew divided. Wipper tried to prevent a clash, fearing Abona's people could destroy the Shandia.

  • Wipper led Abona and his group to the Shandia chief, who greeted them coldly and demanded to know their business.
  • Abona mocked the chief's hostility, and Wipper stopped an angry young Shandia man from attacking him.
  • Wipper explained that Abona's group ruled Sky Island and wanted the chief to meet their king to discuss peaceful coexistence with Angel Island.
  • The chief angrily insisted that the Shandia would never surrender their ancestral land, and Abona asked whether he refused to compromise or communicate.
  • Wipper claimed the chief was willing to talk and asked for time, while another Shandia man urged the tribe to trust him and a woman accused him of selling them out.
  • Wipper worried that failed negotiations could lead Abona's group to wipe out the tribe as the Shandia watched the dispute unfold.

Ch. 130New Chief of the Skypiea Tribe

Wipper convinced the old chief to consider negotiating with Abona's group rather than risk the Shandia people's destruction. The old chief stepped down, and Wipper declared himself the new chief of the Shandia people.

  • The old chief angrily demanded that Wipper explain why he had intervened.
  • Wipper told the old chief that Abona's group could destroy the tribe and urged him to hear their terms for the sake of the people's survival.
  • The old chief accepted that the tribe's long struggle had to end and named Wipper the new chief.
  • Wipper left the house and announced to the Shandia people that he was their chief from that day onward.

Ch. 131Golden Bell

Wipper became chief of the Shandia people and agreed to meet Abona at the current God's Shrine, under a half-month deadline. While Junhe surveyed ancient ruins on Sky Island, his guards discovered a gigantic Golden Bell above the clouds.

  • Wipper became chief and told Abona he would settle matters with his people before going to meet them.
  • Abona told Wipper to come to the current God's Shrine and warned that he had half a month to do so.
  • Junhe explored ancient ruins with his guards and kept searching for the gold His Majesty had mentioned.
  • A guard climbing the enormous vine discovered a massive Golden Bell hanging above the clouds.
  • The guards left the bell untouched and hurried down the vine to tell Junhe about their discovery.

Ch. 132Naturally, the Rumble-Rumble Fruit

Nova stayed at God's Shrine with Enel, encouraged the boy to believe he could become strong, and explained why he should wait before claiming the Rumble-Rumble Fruit. Enel began adapting to his new life as Nova told him about the world beyond Sky Island.

  • Junhe inspected the ruins while the people who had come down told him what had happened above, and he smiled after hearing them.
  • At God's Shrine, Enel asked Nova about the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, and Nova confirmed its power while advising him to wait and train first.
  • Nova encouraged Enel to leave his painful past behind and believe in his potential, noting that the boy's Observation Haki already reached far beyond Junhe's.
  • Nova chose not to take the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, and the King's Guard members also preferred to rely on their own strength.
  • Nova rested in the courtyard and told Enel about seafaring and science below, while Enel gradually adjusted to life among others.

Ch. 133Sky Island Data

Nova held a meeting to review Sky Island’s geography, population, and other findings under Tru Kingdom’s rule, with Wipper and two Shandia representatives in attendance. The meeting turned to planning Sky Island’s future, while peaceful coexistence between Angel Island and the Shandia people remained to be discussed.

  • Wipper arrived with two Shandia representatives and took their reserved seats in God's Shrine.
  • Nova introduced the meeting’s purpose and postponed discussion of relations between Angel Island and the Shandia people until last.
  • Junhe reported that Sky Island covered about 150 square kilometers and described its land, White Sea, and thirteen known islands.
  • Abona reported that a roughly 600-meter-long python called the God of the Sky Island lived around Upper Yard.
  • Gan Fall reported that Sky Island had 8,672 residents apart from the Shandia people and that residents had shown little resentment toward the transfer of ruling authority.

Ch. 134Arrangements for the Skypiea Tribe

Nova negotiated the Shandia people’s resettlement, refusing to let them remain in Upper Yard but offering them a separate Sky Island, work, and food. Wipper accepted the arrangement, and Abona was assigned to move the island clouds within a day.

  • Rocamo demanded Upper Yard for the Shandia people, but Wipper asked Nova to explain his plans.
  • Nova refused to give the Shandia people any part of Upper Yard and offered them a home on Angel Island or a small Sky Island, along with work and trade.
  • Wipper sought an independent settlement in Upper Yard, but Nova rejected the request and told Gan Fall to arrange housing without incident.
  • Gan Fall proposed moving a small Sky Island for the Shandia people, and Abona said he could do it in one day.
  • Nova offered the Shandia people six months of food supplies, and Wipper accepted the settlement terms on their behalf.

Ch. 135Erasure by Conqueror's Haki

Nova and Junhe planned to develop Shandora into a training ground for the Tru Kingdom’s troops after the conflict between the Shandia and Angel Island ended. When Rocamo challenged the kingdom’s claim, Nova killed him with Conqueror’s Haki and warned the leaders not to cross his bottom line.

  • Nova reviewed Junhe’s survey map and discussed developing Shandora as a training ground.
  • Junhe estimated that the area around Shandora could accommodate about fifty thousand people.
  • Wipper and Gan Fall realized the Tru Kingdom intended to use Sky Island to train its army, but neither objected.
  • Rocamo stood up and challenged Nova’s plan to bring people from the Tru Kingdom to Sky Island.
  • Nova struck Rocamo down with Conqueror’s Haki and warned Wipper that he would personally manage the Shandia if there was another challenge.
  • Wipper promised to restrain his people, and Nova urged the gathered leaders to preserve peaceful relations.

Ch. 136Space Teleportation Channel

Nova assigned duties to Junhe, Gan Fall, Abona, and Wipper as he prepared to make Sky Island part of Tru Kingdom. After the meeting, he turned to Junhe to choose a location for the Space Teleportation Array linking Sky Island and Tru Kingdom.

  • Nova ordered Junhe to plan a training ground in Upper Yard and finish it within three months, while Gan Fall was told to keep the area forbidden and designate a marketplace on Angel Island.
  • Nova tasked Abona with collecting Shandora's treasures and left the Golden Bell for the Shandia people.
  • Nova appointed Wipper's Shandia people as guards for Sky Island's gates and promised their people training, while directing them to help Abona find the Golden Bell.
  • Nova declared the Shandia people and Angel Island residents his subjects, called for peaceful coexistence, and warned them against betrayal.
  • After the meeting, Nova asked Junhe where to place the teleportation gate.

Ch. 137Ways to Increase Strength

Nova planned where to build a hidden teleportation gate on Sky Island and put Junhe in charge of developing the island and training Enel. He urged Junhe to improve his Haki and Devil Fruit abilities as Nova prepared to establish a one-way gate.

  • Junhe suggested Shandora as a site for the teleportation gate, and Nova ordered him to inspect the ancient city and find a place for the gate and future living quarters.
  • Nova told Junhe to take charge of training Enel, explaining that the boy had destroyed Bika Sky Island and would later build a flying ship.
  • Junhe promised to train Enel into an expert within two years, and Nova challenged Junhe to reach Admiral-level strength within five years.
  • Nova instructed Junhe to improve his Armament Haki and develop his Devil Fruit ability, then handed him management of Sky Island and said the teleportation gate would initially be one-way.

Ch. 138Enel in Training

Nova prepared to leave Sky Island and urged Enel to remain and train until he was strong enough to join him. Enel accepted the challenge, while Junhe stayed behind to help oversee Tru Kingdom’s military preparations.

  • Nova told Junhe that his next assignment would be demanding, and Junhe pledged to oversee Tru Kingdom’s army after the Sky Island base was built.
  • Nova found Enel doing push-ups and asked how his training was going; Enel said it was tiring but fulfilling.
  • Nova told Enel he would leave Sky Island in a few days and could not take him to Tru Kingdom because the sea was too dangerous and Enel was still weak.
  • Junhe explained that Enel could stay in the forbidden Upper Yard and train under him until he was strong enough to protect Nova.
  • Enel vowed to train hard and protect Nova, then resumed his basic training.

Ch. 139Underground Golden Palace

Nova joined the Shandia search for Shandora’s gold, but Enel revealed that the city’s treasure lay in an underground palace guarded by a giant snake. Nova set off with Enel to find its entrance.

  • Nova watched Abona and the Shandia search Shandora’s ruins for gold.
  • Enel told Nova he had once found an underground palace filled with gold and nearly been swallowed by its giant snake.
  • Nova concluded that Shandora’s main riches were underground and asked Enel to lead him to the entrance.
  • Enel pointed toward a forested area and warned Nova that reaching the palace was difficult.
  • Nova and Enel entered the forest, and Enel explained that fear of the snake had kept him away from the palace.

Ch. 140Golden Lion

Nova followed Enel to a hidden underground palace beneath Upper Yard and discovered enormous quantities of gold. After learning that Enel had kept the place secret, Nova prepared to enter the palace and explore further.

  • Enel showed Nova the spot where he had once fallen into a hidden underground entrance.
  • Nova used Observation Haki to detect a vast underground space, then used Spatial Jump to take Enel inside.
  • Nova and Enel arrived before a massive golden gate flanked by two golden lion statues and surrounded by a gold floor.
  • Nova asked the System to assess one lion statue and learned it was worth about 5.5 billion Beli.
  • Enel told Nova that he had not revealed the palace to anyone and that a huge snake lived there.
  • Nova let go of the lion statue and proposed that they enter the palace.
