Su Luo knew Shibai was definitely not this angry because Taiho's invitation had been too "special." There had been applications even more outrageous than hers.
Besides, this was not the first time Taiho had sent this kind of letter! She had also sent plenty of similar invitations through his Juus, including quite a few extremely provocative private photos.
The reason Shibai was so furious was nothing more than something Taiho had said in the letter to provoke her.
Su Luo briefly comforted Shibai until she was no longer quite so angry, then casually picked up the letter from Taiho that had infuriated her.
Upon opening it, Su Luo directly skipped over the beginning.
Taiho's letters basically contained the same things every time. After reading them so many times, he could practically recite them from memory. They were nothing more than invitations for him to do all sorts of things that should not be done! Su Luo turned his attention straight to the final paragraph.
"...You little shorty..."
After reading that opening line of the last paragraph, Su Luo immediately set down the letter. He already knew why.
Shibai had repeatedly rejected Taiho's invitations on the grounds that they offended public decency. This time, Taiho had come right at her!
Seeing Su Luo calmly put down the letter while seemingly sizing her up, Shibai's expression darkened. She looked at him and emphasized,
"Being petite is a symbol of nobility, understand?!!!"
Su Luo silently nodded. A Queen who was eternally eleven years old—of course he understood!
After he comforted her for a while longer, Shibai, who was fairly easy to soothe, had completely calmed down before long. Su Luo then began his work for the day.
As mentioned before, although there were many documents, there was not actually much work that required him personally. Shibai had already sorted through most of the paperwork. Though she looked petite, as the Queen of the Royal Navy, her ability to work was beyond question!
Thus, before noon even arrived, Su Luo had already dealt with nearly all his work. Of course, that only included the important documents Shibai had selected. As for the various invitations from the other ship girls, he was currently... powerless to deal with them!
He planned to visit Akashi later. Although Akashi was a famous shady merchant in the port, her talent for invention could not be overlooked.
Near noon, Belfast entered the office at just the right time, carrying tea.
"Commander, Your Majesty Queen Elizabeth, you have both worked hard!"
"Mm, Belfast, hurry and make me a cup of top-quality black tea!"
Seeing the Head Maid enter the office, Shibai did not stand on ceremony and gave the order directly.
Belfast nodded and poured two different cups of tea. She first brought one to Su Luo, then delivered the other to her Queen.
Shibai said nothing about the order in which Belfast served the tea. Though she occasionally called her Commander a commoner, she still respected him deep down!
"Commander, Your Majesty Queen Elizabeth, please enjoy."
After placing the tea before them, Belfast quietly stood at Su Luo's side.
The Head Maid's tea-making skills were excellent, and drinking tea brewed by her was a pleasure. However... looking at the cup in his hand, filled with a considerable amount of medicinal herbs called goji berries, Su Luo opened his mouth but ultimately said nothing. He silently accepted the Head Maid's concern.
Su Luo finished the tea, then rose from his seat and stretched.
Perhaps because he had been working himself too "hard" lately, Su Luo felt that his lower back was somewhat uncomfortable. He instinctively rubbed it with his hand.
Belfast noticed the movement. She slowly approached Su Luo and began massaging his lower back.
"Master, is your lower back uncomfortable? Would you like me to call Perseus or Miss Valkyrie from the Eagle Union?"
Belfast's question drew Shibai's attention.
Seeing that her Commander was clearly uncomfortable, a trace of worry likewise flashed through Shibai's eyes, though she quickly concealed it.
"Hmph. If you're unwell, then stop forcing yourself to work. Leave the work to someone else!"
Before Su Luo could refuse, Shibai put on the airs of the Royal Navy's Queen and looked toward Belfast, who was massaging Su Luo.
"Belfast, take this commoner to the infirmary later and give him a thorough examination. Also, notify the flagships of the other factions and have them come to the office."
When Queen Elizabeth saw Su Luo about to shake his head, she glared at him.
"As my subject, you should obey my orders! Or do you not trust my ability to work, nor that of the other faction flagships?"
Seeing the serious expression on Queen Elizabeth's face, Su Luo understood that Shibai was worried about him. He silently nodded, agreeing to Queen Elizabeth's suggestion.
A short while later, accompanied by Belfast, Su Luo headed to the infirmary. Valkyrie and Perseus, who had received word long ago, were already waiting there, prepared to give the Commander a comprehensive examination!
The moment Su Luo arrived, Valkyrie pulled him over to a clearly advanced medical device and had him lie down inside it.
As she examined him, she scolded him as well.
"Commander, I've told you before—if you're injured or feeling unwell, you need to tell me!"
Perseus watched the Commander for a while from the side, then joined in.
"The Commander does look rather weak, just like a sickly little chick..."

Belfast stood to the side, looked at Perseus, and shook her head, quietly sighing for her.
Being this cautious, when would she ever succeed?!!!
Valkyrie's gaze remained fixed on the obviously high-end medical device before the Commander, afraid that even a single piece of bad information might appear.
A short while later, Valkyrie reached a preliminary conclusion. Looking at the results, she shot the Commander a glare, her cheeks slightly flushed.
"Although I knew the married ship girls had spent years apart from the Commander, and that they would surely be excited after his return—perhaps even unable to restrain themselves—but... they went too far..."
Valkyrie complained about the married ship girls, yet her tone carried a faint, almost imperceptible envy.
As one of the married ship girls, Belfast's face also seemed slightly flushed as she listened. After roughly confirming Su Luo's condition through Valkyrie, Belfast spoke to Valkyrie, who was still conducting a more detailed examination.
"Valkyrie, Master is in your care. I still have matters to attend to, so I'll be leaving first!"
Valkyrie was carrying out a more thorough examination of Su Luo and did not pay much attention to Belfast's words. She merely waved a hand at her, indicating that she understood.
Belfast gave Su Luo a curtsy, then headed out of the infirmary.
Following Queen Elizabeth's earlier orders, she needed to find the leaders of the various factions in the port and invite them to the Commander's office to discuss with Queen Elizabeth how the port's work would be handled for the coming period.
Aside from that, Belfast also needed to find the married ship girls, as well as several special ship girls, and offer them some advice.
As for which ship girls were considered special, and what exactly that advice would entail...
As the perfect and elegant Royal Head Maid, Belfast had complete confidence in what she was about to do!
