A young man in a ZAP uniform gazed through a space battleship's viewport at the boundless universe outside.
His face was full of youthful vigor, with a faint trace of boyish innocence.
He was Raymon, the Reionics from Earth.
He admired the stars as though admiring a beautiful painting, completely unaware of the figure quietly approaching from behind.
"Long time no see, Ray!"
Startled, Ray jumped and spun around to see who it was.
Though the man had grown some facial hair and his face now bore the marks of passing years, Ray recognized him at once.
"Oki?!"
Oki patted Ray's shoulder. "I'm so jealous. More than ten years have passed, and you still look exactly the same..."
"We haven't seen each other much since Boss retired. Later, I heard from my colleagues at ZAP that you were helping the Space Garrison keep peace across the universe. Is that true?"
Ray rubbed his head and smiled. "That's right. I wanted to help more people."
"The Space Garrison asked me to come this time. The Ultra Warrior stationed on Planet L85 had to return because the Land of Light was short-handed. I'm filling in for him for a while, so I hitched a ride with ZAP's support mission to L85. But why are you on this ship?"
Oki burst out laughing. "Because I'm a monster genius!"
"You already knew I was a monster fanatic back then. No need to ask a question you know the answer to."
"This time, I'm going to Planet L85 aboard this battleship as a human consultant on monster studies."
Oki made Ray laugh too. "You really haven't changed at all."
